Vehicle Detail

This car was purchased new in 2007 for law enforcement use in the Commonwealth of Virginia! On August 2, 2013 the Smyth County Board of Supervisors in Marion, VA sold the vehicle to ASIA Motors Inc! Upon wanting to purchase a used white Ford Crown Vic Police Interceptor myself I flew to Chicago, IL on a one way ticket on January 10, 2014 to visit ASIA Motors Inc (Then located near downtown Chicago) as they have the largest inventory of used government vehicles in the country and are "Home of Used Police Cars". Upon a visual inspection and road testing of a half dozen of the white Ford Crown Vic Police Interceptors in ASIA's inventory this particular one with 109,868 miles on it stood out as the most solid well taken care of example and was purchased for $4,200! It was then driven back that evening and following day to our home just outside of Memphis, TN! As it is a P71 Police Interceptor model it comes with heavy duty brakes, suspension and extra cooling systems from the factory! It has a few small diameter holes from police lights and antenna that were once installed on the roof and trunk which have since been capped! This particular P71 also has very dark window tint! New 235/55R17 high speed ZR rated tires were purchased for it on March 28, 2016! To date they have less than 8,000 miles on them! We average 19.5 MPG in it using 87 octane gas with an even mix of highway and city driving! The turning radius, steering, suspension and handling are certainly the best of any large car I've owned to date! The throttle response is average! The brakes are average! The transmission shifts good! This car naturally gets respect from both the public and from law enforcement! Have been flagged down by civilians on two occasions for minor assistance and even once by local law enforcement! Typically get a two finger salute every few weeks from officers driving the opposite direction! Included is a three ring binder with misc info and receipts pertinent to the vehicle from the time we purchased it on January 10, 2014! This car has been my daily driver since we purchased it! I trust it and would drive it anywhere! We're selling it only as we recently purchased another interesting vehicle as my daily driver and have no need nor any room for this one! All photos except for the first two were taken in our garage on the evening of Wednesday, April 26, 2017 after it was washed in our driveway! A few of the photos, especially the interior ones came out a little more fuzzy than we wished! Just know that the interior is clean and well kept with no rips, tears or cracks anywhere except for the drivers seat which shows wear including a large rip (see pix)! We welcome you to inspect the vehicle in person and to test drive it prior to purchase or end of auction and/or to have a mechanic of your choice go over the vehicle top to bottom! We reserve the right to end the auction at any time as the vehicle is also for sale locally! THE GOOD:* Runs and drives great! Been a reliable daily driver for us for 3 plus years!* Strong, smooth running engine!* No oil leaks!* No lit dash warning lights!* Body is in great overall shape with a few minor scrapes, dings, scratches, rock chips etc!* Other than a rip in the drivers seat the interior is in very good condition!* Good paint!* Great suspension!* 17" police rims w/high speed ZR rated 235/55 tires! Tires purchased 3/28/16 w/130,687 miles on car!* Good/average brakes!* No major squeaks or rattles! Car feels solid!* This car gets respect!* A lot of car for the money! Unlikely you'll be disappointed with this one! THE BAD:* The AC does not blow cold! Last week we brought the vehicle in to have freon refilled on it! It only blew cold for a day! It obviously has a leak!* Rip in drivers seat (see photos)* The fuel door dash light rarely but occasionally lights up for a day or two! Briefly removing gas cap sometimes helps! Usually goes away on its own!* Wiring for the spot light is not hooked up!* Digital odometer numbers are very faint!* Passenger side rear window is not operable from the passenger side rear. It is operable from the drivers seat!* WHILE IT'S COLD: Until fully warm the transmission is typically not fully responsive! It does not always go into reverse or drive the first time that particular gear is selected! It requires to be put back in park and then have the gear selected again and then it works. When driving it while its cold it usually does not fully respond upon giving it throttle! Just a slight ever present hesitation! I usually disengage the overdrive and it drives better while its cold but it will still usually hesitate for a second or so after stopping at the first stop sign/red light or two. Occasionally while in drive it stalls at a red light but starts right up. As it doesn't stall in park I sometimes put it in park at red lights. Once it warms up these issues go away fully! The vehicle has been like this since I bought it three plus years ago and it has not gotten any worse! Had an 'Automatic Trans Fluid Replace' from Valvoline performed on it when I first got it but it had no impact and I accepted it as part of the vehicles characteristics! For some reason when turning right it hesitates for a second or so even when warm! Read about this condition online and its apparently not an uncommon issue with these cars! Again, disengaging the overdrive lessens this! Should you have any questions please feel free to send us a message thru ebay! We greatly appreciate your interest! - Soren On Apr-27-17 at 19:47:40 PDT, seller added the following information: Note: I got it wrong concerning the rear window controls! They are naturally only operable from the drivers seat in the P71 Police Interceptor models! What stands out about the passenger side rear window is that it is the only one of the two rear passenger windows that is operable, from the drivers seat! The drivers side rear passenger window is not operable at all!On Apr-27-17 at 20:04:22 PDT, seller added the following information: Got an inquiry from someone concerning the Axle Code which is listed on the vehicle sticker on the drivers door jamb! It is C6!
