1980 Honda CBX "barn find". Original owner parked this as a running motorcycle more than 20 years ago, when he finally got around to taking the covers back off he discovered that someone had stolen parts from it. It is missing the seat, exhaust pipes, carburetors, valve cover, plastic side covers, etc. The key has been lost and the title has been lost, it was originally registered in California until the late 1980s but has long since been deleted from the Department of Motor Vehicles computer system. It will be SOLD AS IS WITH BILL OF SALE ONLY. 1980 USA model per Federal label VIN # SC03-2011485 Engine # SC03E-2003225 Date of manufacture: 04/1980 Motorcycle is exactly as you see in the pictures, no other parts for it, NEEDS MAJOR RESTORATION. Tires hold air and the bike rolls. I have no further information about the history or condition. Can be viewed before auction end in the Los Angeles area, the bike DOES NOT RUN and will be sold without any warranty whatsoever expressed or implied. This is a NO RESERVE auction, high bidder wins it, but motorcycle is now being advertised locally and is subject to prior sale. On Apr-03-17 at 17:50:12 PDT, seller added the following information: CONDITION INSPECTION UPDATE IN ADDITION TO THE PREVIOUSLY MENTIONED ITEMS: Missing engine mounts and mounting bolts, engine is loose and appears to have been in the process of removal Missing air cleaner assembly Front and rear master cylinders have no fluid, brakes not working at all Drive chain rusty and hanging loose, possibly missing some adjustment parts Missing engine sprocket cover Missing both sets of foot pegs Missing tail light assembly Missing rear cowl Missing rear turn signals Rear view mirror is missing the glass Missing throttle tube and grip Small dent on speedometer housing Gas tank badly dented and rattles like it has a lot of rust or something inside, cannot open due to lost key Gas tank probably not useable Rear tire has a lot of tread wear Front tire has small age cracks Clutch lever bent Some visible rust on camshaft lobes from sitting exposed for long period THIS IS A VERY ROUGH MOTORCYCLE, WILL NEED MAJOR REPAIRS.
