Just out of storage 71 VW Type III squareback {wagon}.Original accident-free California car with solid 99% rust-free body-only a few small rust bubbles or dings on the entire vehicle.Paint is original color and in very presentable condition, all glass is original.Strong running 1600 cc motor was converted from fuel injection to twin Weber carburetors with dual exhaust installed. Car starts instantly from cold.After a brief warm up, car accelerates surprisingly quickly and smoothly through 1st to 2nd gears, 3rd gear is quirky and there is often a delay before it engages - I understand this is fairly common for automatic {auto- stick} transmission cars.Brake linings and hoses are new as are all 4 shock absorbers and tires.Steering is tight with little play and ride is solid with no rattles or shakes.Seats have rips as pictured.Odometer,clock and horn are inop and accuracy of gas gauge is questionable but speedometer,wipers,headlights,turn,emergency signals and locks all work well.No radio. Overall vehicle is reliable and fun to drive with light steering and quick acceleration.
