Welcome to Katz Klassics Inc Ebay Store! We are in the British, Italian, and special interest car business. We specialize in antique cars and parts! Ford Super Deluxe 1946 VIN: 532202Mileage: 73,000 We are selling this car for a customer who is liquidating some of their collection. This original survivor has been sitting in dry storage for years. Car has a primer paint job on a rust-free body; bottom of doors are like brand new.No rust at all! Motor puts like a kitten and starts right up with the push of a button. I personally drove this car. Runs very nicely down the road,Good-looking ride! Features a flat head V8 and three and three on the tree transmission. Newer exhaust system. Very nice custom aluminum running boards. Has been converted to a 12 volt system, see photos. Has original "smoker's window" feature, see photos! Has an older set of whitewalls, see photos. Does have a small blemish on the driver's side door where car was washed and unfortunately said washer had the wrong chemical in the bucket when he started to wash; did make some kind of mark on door, see photo. Always a well maintained vehicle, mostly driven to car shows and parades. Very nice example of early Ford design; no disappointments here! Please take the time to look at ALL photos carefully!!Please contact us with any questions/comments via our eBay inbox. A brief history of the Ford Super De Luxe:Ford Motor Company introduced its De Luxe Ford line in 1938 as an upscale alternative to bridge the gap between its base model (usually called Standard)and luxury Lincoln offerings. The "Deluxe" name was used intermittently before and after this to specify an upscale trim, but the De Luxe Ford line was differentiated as a separate "marque within a marque" with separate styling and pricing through 1940. During 1939, Ford had five lines of cars: Ford, De Luxe Ford, Mercury, Lincoln-Zephyr, and Lincoln. After the war, this was simplified to Ford, Mercury, and Lincoln. The 1941 Ford line included "De Luxe" and "Super De Luxe" trim, but these vehicles were not marketed as a separate line.
