Offered for sale, from KURT TANNER MOTORCARS, is this complete and extremely solid MGA 1600 Roadster for restoration. This car was just discovered in a storage yard in the California desert near Palm Springs. The body on the car is just about as rustfree as a California car gets, having spent it's whole life here. It appears the car left the factory in the desirable and attractive color of Chariot Red with Red trim. It is fitted with a correct 1600cc engine, presumably it's original. The body on this car does have it's share of dings and dents, most likely from 25+ years of storage. The body panels appear to be all original to the car. The trunk lid and hood are loose. The doors close OK. There are two small areas on the trunk floor that have some rust-through and would need repair. The engine is currently stuck from sitting and would most likely require a rebuild. The engine compartment is very original and even includes the original air cleaner set. The underchassis looks very good and solid. There is some normal dirt build up around the mechanical components. The interior is all there but weather-shot from years outside in the sun. A previous owner has added a wooden dashboard facia over the original one. Overall, a very solid restoration candidate and desirable MK1 Roadster. These pretty MGA's have very nice road manners and offer good value. This car is sold with all of it's correct and original ID plates.
