Vehicle Detail
1977 Grand Prix LJ, black with black velour bench seats, automatic with 301 engine, 75,848 miles, manual windows, front seat is a 60/40 split seat with fold down armrest. It has an AM/FM radio, cruise control that works great! It has the split rear window. The car runs and drives wonderful!!! The body has been turf-kote dinol undercoated and has no rust anywhere. The body is all original including the paint with a few dings and chips which are normal for the year but shows very well. The dash clock works sporadically. The A/C has been charged and does work. The interior is in great condition with no signs of wear. The windshield has one small wiper scratch but is otherwise in very good condition. It does have the original owners manual and receipts for most of the regular oil changes. The tires are Firestone and are in very good condition. The rims are factory rally rims in very good condition. Spare tire is new on the factory rally wheel. It has the black vinyl top, again in very good condition with no rust. The engine compartment could use detailing from sitting. This vehicle does not have the gauge package. This car can be confidently driven home!!!! On Dec-22-15 at 07:19:19 PST, seller added the following information: Here's more information regarding the rear window: "The rear window in the '73-'77 GM A and G-body features a "wire bend" vertically in the center. The glass is one piece. The sharp crease in the center of the glass is created by "folding" the glass over a hot wire during the manufacturing process. It serves no function other than styling - it was incorporated into the glass to fit the sharp point centered at the rear edge of the roof which echoed the "boat tail" rear design of Grand Prixs of that period. This rear window is common to the Monte Carlo, Olds Cutlass and the Buick Regal. Cars with an electric rear defroster did not have the wire bend in the glass, as it was impossible to screen the grid over the crease in the glass. GM also used the wire-bend technique on the backlights of the '77-up Impala coupe and the '78 Toronado XS."
