Vehicle Detail
1963 Chevy II 100 series 2 door post. I am listing this car for my brother-in-law. He built it as his personal hot rod. The body has the typical Chevy II rust issues in fenders and front floor pans but all the sheet metal can be replaced for under $700 parts cost. The KEY to THIS car is the ENGINE. It is a 350 + .030 (355 cu in) and has twin turbo chargers. I'll briefly describe the engine parts: 350 4 bolt main block, forged steel 350 Chevy crankshaft turned .010 on rods and mains; TRW forged pistons, 22cc dished domes for turbo and super charged engines, 8.5 to 1 compression ratio; Pro Line rods with ARP bolts; Racing Head Service Sportsman 2 heads with 2.02 Manley stainless steel valves, 64 cc polished combustion chambers, 200 cc intake runners, Comp Cams 1.52 ratio roller rocker arms, screw in studs and push rod guide plates, Crane hyd flat tappet cam, .450 intake and .460 exh on 114 CL, with Crane anti pump up lifters; Edelbrock Torker intake port matched; Turbo chargers are Hi-FI 60 units, carb is 870 CFM Holley with Pro Form center section prepped for turbo chargers and super charger by Holley; Edelbrock 130 GPH mechanical fuel pump with dual regulators; exhaust manifolds are Turbo cast iron units and all plumbing is VERY neat and clean; MSD 6AL ignition AND MSD boost timing master, adjustable from a switch on the dash; Power glide transmission by Paul Crowe, TCS 4500 RPM 10-inch stall converter, chrome moly input shaft, extra deep pan, Hurst Pro-Matic shifter; front suspension completely rebuilt; aluminum radiator. Car has sat for two years but was started regularly. $15,000 invested, selling due to health issues. This was an original 6 cylinder car (original 6 cyl engine still with car). My brother in law bought it 13 years ago to build himself a super hot rod. The suspension is all stock Chevy II. He completely rebuilt the front suspension, ball joints, bushings, etc. and changed the 4 lug spindles to 5 lug. The rear suspension is still the original 4 lug Chevy II. Therefore he NEVER abused the car due to the car having the stock rear end. His plans were to install a narrowed Ford 9 inch rear but with his failing health he never got that done. The car itself shows a little over 68,000 miles on the odometer. The engine has less than 3000 easy street miles. He has built turbo charged engines for the past 35 years and he is VERY knowledgeable about turbo chargers. He has been in the hospital this week and just needs to sell the car. Somebody can get a great deal on this car.
