Vehicle Detail
Very nice and attractive GMC work horse, a very heavy duty chassis, note it has leaf springs in the rear, not coils like the 1/2 ton trucks. This GMC and Chevrolet body design is thought to be one of the all time best pickups by many, and a very beautiful design, many of us think! This one is in good used but loved and respected original condition. Never restored but taken care of! Owned by an old car hobbyist and mechanic that owned it for approximately 36 or more years. Driven mainly on camping trips and back and forth to Hershey and Carlisle PA, car shows. Has been stored in a nice shed for most of it's life and it shows! Not a perfect show truck but it surely attracts attention, very nice looking! Many New tune up parts, plugs, points, rotor, condenser, air filter and oil and filter, with a fresh battery and fluids topped off this truck runs great. With a bit of tweaking and detailing this truck can be either a great tow vehicle for the right special vehicle or put in a show or cruise in as is. Would make a great vehicle to go vintage camping in, especially with a vintage slide in camper! Which it had for many years, unfortunately it is no longer around. The bed is excellent, was wet when I photographed it, a camper protected the bed, it is in wonderful condition, ready to accept another slide in camper! Note factory original rear step bumper and added S.S. west coast mirrors. Even with the old tires it drives and rides very well! The striking two tone color combination is original (one nice repaint some years ago) and looks great in those groovy 70's earth tones, "dark olive" green with a "Medium olive" green roof. Interior is original (green) with a wood grain dress up kit added, many years ago, real wood I think? The wood is removable but it looks nice! Padded dash, carpet and headliner are all great, door panels are nice as well and to my knowledge all are original, they certainly look to be OEM! Steering wheels are reproduced as the original has some cracks. Many parts you might want are available to add to refurbish this real sweet truck. It gets many looks as is! I love it, think you will too!
