Vehicle: I am selling a 1989 Porsche 928GT Project Car. Car Comes with a Clean California Title. These 1989 928 GT's are extremely rare and are getting harder and harder to find, Only 151 cars have ever been imported into the USA/Canada in total. The Porsche has black interior and black exterior, Features a 5.0L V8 Engine with 326HP & 317 ft-lbs of torque Backed with a Manual 5 Speed Transmission with Limited Slip Differential. SOLD AS IS!! This is a Barn find and has been parked for a unknown amount of years (at least 5). At this point the car does run and drive, Starts up and runs with no unusual noise and does not smoke. Transmission shifts fine with no unusual noise or issues. Brakes work fine. However this car has not been taken on drives farther then a couple miles so it is not a buy and drive home car, It will need to be towed for further inspection before driving. We did not have this car and might have missed something about its condition, Please inspect pictures carefully and keep in mind you are buying AS IS as a Barn find Project car. The car shows 68,574 Miles at this time on the odometer but carfax history shows it was parked at 78,809 Miles, so to our knowledge car has 78,809 Miles. The instrument cluster was either replaced at some time or there was a mistake done at recording the mileage at one point in the cars history. The issues we know about this car are:Body: Paint has scratches and is Faded badly, Body has several dents, the worst is a area near the drivers side rear window with seems to have had improper repair at one point and is flaking off and rusting. The drivers side rear taillight has cracks. Headlights are dusty on the inside and have condensation. Interior: Dashboard and Dashboard Pod have cracks, Inserts in the door panels are warped because they are leather and the leather has dried out over the years. Front seats are very dried out and the drivers seat has split in one spot at the seam. Rear seats are in a bit better shape, However the drivers side rear backrest also has a split at the seam. Speakers in the car are badly mounted. Missing a rear view mirror. Mechanical: We know the car starts, runs and drives. Shifts through gears fine with no issues and the engine does not make any unusual noise. We have no records of service in our possession. Extensive Mechanical, Cooling, Suspensions inspections were not done. Electrical: The only warning light that is on on the instrument cluster is a "Brake Light" warning light which means a brake/reverse light is not functioning. The electrical items that do not operate that we know of are, Sunroof, Passenger window, climate control, Rear windshield wiper, CD Player/Radio. Suspension: Car did not make any unusual noise during our test drive and drove straight. Again a extensive inspection was NOT done. Video of engine starting and running:
