Vehicle Detail

This vehicle has been owned by the same owner for the last 10 years. Over the years considerable effort and expense has been focused on ensuring this automobile represents a very high quality of OE originality. This vehicle has been presented with 1st place awards in the “OE Stock” class at the 2010 and 2012 Mopar Nationals as well as numerous other 1st place and Best of Show awards at other shows. The Fender tag has been decoded by Galen Govier and that documentation will be included with the sale. The original matching numbers engine is not in the vehicle at this time but is included with the sale as a newly rebuilt, balanced and blue-printed short-block. The original matching numbers engine was removed in an effort to correct an overheating at idle problem that would occur on warm days in stop-and-go traffic. However, after purchasing a non HP correctly date coded 383 and having it professional ly rebuilt to stock HP specs, I found it still exhibited the same characteristics as the original numbers matching engine which indicated to me the engine wasn’t the problem. This vehicle retains its original sheet metal with no rust or patch panels and is offered with both the professionally rebuilt 383 numbers matching short block and engine that is in the car and you see in these pictures. In 2010, the car was disassembled and each component was painstakingly replaced or restored to original condition (heater box, window mechanisms, weather stripping, carpet, rear end, brake cylinders, master cylinder, all suspension components including suspension detail, gauges, engine compartment and components, etc., way too many items to document here). All receipts (and photos) from the restoration have been retained and can be included with the sale. The car has been regularly shown each year and driven approximately 25 to 50 miles per year to maintain optimum reliability. Transportation to most car shows has been via an enclosed trailer. This vehicle is being sold “as is” with no warrantees or guarantees and can be purchased for a “Buy it now” price of $45,500. Further, this vehicle has a very reasonable “starting bid” price given that the starting bid price is only a fraction of the money spent restoring this vehicle. This is a no reserve auction so bid with confidence that this car will sell to the highest bidder. A $500.00 deposit is due through PayPal within 24 hours of auction ending. Shipping and other transportation will be the expense of the buyer. Please email or call me (636.751.9540) with any questions.
