Regardless of whether you are simply looking for an amazing roadster sports car , or perhaps one of the future collectibles, this Mean Yellow 5-speed Solstice is an amazing opportunity. We recently acquired this car from the original owner in Michigan. He purchased the car in June, 2008 from Don Rypma Pontiac, in Whitehall, Michigan. He wanted to have a fun convertible sports car to keep at his home by the lake for spring and summer rides. It was always garage kept and also stored under a custom cover. In his 7 years of ownership this GXP accumulated just under 5700 pampered miles! This GXP is basically brand new....truly near flawless and a blast to drive!!! He realized that it was time to let it go so that the next lucky owner could enjoy it...maybe you!! I will do my best to provide you with enough large images and an honest description to help you decide if this piece of Pontiac excitement should be in your garage. As you can imagine, with just under 5700 pampered miles, the body on this GXP is basically flawless. The Mean Yellow color really suits this roadster and is set off nicely by the upgraded 18" chrome wheels. There is no doubt that if Pontiac had remained in business that these Solstice Roadsters would have continued in popularity. However, due to the rarity, these are sure to be future collectibles in years to come. I did not see any dings, scratches or chips along the body. This Solstice has never been in any accidents or had any paint work done. The only flaw I noticed was one tiny chip at the lower part of the front spoiler that was touched up and I doubt anyone else would notice. This GXP has the optional rear spoiler that really looks sleek. The front license pate holder was required in MI but is easily removed without any holes in the front bumper as it is attached to the grille area. As you can see in the pics, the paint glistens and this roadster will turn heads wherever you go. I hope you will enjoy it with the top down as much as possible but of course the canvas convertible looks like new as well. Pontiac improved the sound with the top up on the GXP with a premium acoustic headliner. Here is a photo tour of the body: Of course this Mean Yellow GXP came equipped with the optional upgraded Ebony Leather interior which is in like new condition. I did not see any wear on the drivers seat and the passenger seat looks like it was never sat in. The seats are neatly embroidered in dark gray with the GXP logo and are very comfortable. Power height adjustments. Believe it or not, Air conditioning was optional and of course this car has it. Awesome sounding upgraded stereo with 7 monsoon speakers, 6 cd changer, MP# format with auxiliary input jack. Center console has cup holders and storage area. Very neatly laid out dash with red illuminated gauges. 5-speed shifter is perfectly positioned for some fun in the sun shifting through the gears! GXP embroidered floor mats finish out the interior. Overall the interior really looks and smells like new...take a look: The GXP features GM’s 2 liter DOHC Ecotec in-line four-cylinder mated to a dual-scroll turbocharger. The result is 260 horespower in a car that tips the scales at less then 3000 lbs One of the best things about driving the Solstice GXP is its immaculate balance and handling. With a low center of gravity and wheels set right out in each of its four corners, the car handles like a go-kart. Its precise steering and absolute lack of body roll means it can be thrown into corners at high speed with the faintest hint of slippage. Helping the cause are a limited slip differential and GM’s Stabilitrack traction and electronic stability control (ESC) system which are standard on the GXP. These can be de-activated with the push of a button for those who like to drive on edge. Great short throw 5-speed shifter, power assisted rack and pinion steering, and 4 wheel disc brakes create an awesome driving experience. This Mean Yellow GXP has just under 5700 miles on it and truly performs like new!!! It needs nothing but you behind the wheel enjoying the ride!!! Sitting on the upgraded 18" chrome wheels that are like new this Solstice GXP has a great stance! Here is a look under the tilt forward hood: This Solstice GXP comes with a custom dealer ordered car cover and we also have all of the original paperwork including the original bill of sale, original Window Sticker, all manuals, both key fobs etc....all of these items add to the future collectibility and value as many of you know.
