Hello, This listing is for my 1961 Mercedes Ponton. As you can see, it is a bit of an ambitious project, or would make an excellent parts car, particularly if you need a few of the hard to find Webasto roof parts. The car ran about 4-5 months ago, and since then it has donated its starter and water pump to another ponton I owned (and since sold). It ran, but ran poorly, with a good amount of black smoke from the old (possible ancient?) diesel fuel that was left in the lines. The car will need all major systems overhauled if you plan on getting this car driving. The car was originally purchased in Bakersfield, CA, so I am not sure how some of the rusty spots came to be...I suspect it was because of the worn out top. The car is structurally sound, though new floors and rocker reinforcement would be needed. I could go on and on, but just need this thing gone. Please email with any questions.
