Anyway after reconsidering we have decided to sell it at auction to the high bidder. Starting price is equal to the highest offer we received during the B.I.N. listing. BMW X5 2002 3.0i - Clean, one owner vehicle with a clear title. Yes, it has 230,000 miles but it runs well and offers a very pleasant ride. All maintenance is up to date. Tires have less than 5,000 miles on them. Brake lines were replaced less than 1,000 miles ago. Sure it has a few dings, nicks and scuffs, but that is to be expected with a vehicle of this age. One has the buttons, but they don't work to lock/unlock the car. The second is the "Valet key". Both work to lock/unlock the vehicle when used in the door lock. Both also work in the ignition. When parked in our garage we noticed three small oil spots under the engine, so there are small oil leaks that you need to know about. It does not affect operation, and I have been driving it for a couple of weeks now, and have put 300 miles on it. The oil level has not dropped significantly, I have not had to add oil. This car was purchased brand new with 5 miles on it in December 2001. One driver put almost 230,000 miles on it in 13 years! Preventative maintenance was always done when required to keep this car in excellent running condition.
