1969 PONTIAC GRAND PRIX MODEL J Please read ALL information regarding this auction. Payment, Terms, Warranty information is listed below the photos. Email with any questions. This very nice 1969 Pontiac Grand Prix was purchased new and titled by a married couple in the dry western state of Colorado. I purchased the car from the estate of the original owners Colorado family in January, 2009. This Grand Prix has always been garaged. The paper work I received and still have shows that the original 400 engine and Turbo Hydra-Matic transmission were both removed at the very same time and rebuilt in January, 1991 with 138,215 miles on the Grand Prix. When I purchased the Grand Prix in 2009 from the estate the mileage on the odometer was 156,000 miles. Since this salt-free Grand Prix had such a nice straight body with the original thinning factory paint showing no signs ever of any damage or body work I sent the Grand Prix to a high quality classic car paint shop and chose not to refinish it in the original Code 61 color which was Expresso Brown Met., and instead refinished the Grand Prix in paint code PRJ which is a 2009 Dodge Ram color of INFERNO RED CRYSTAL PEARL. The bumpers, all exterior trim, hood & deck lid were removed before painting. I have photos of the car stripped and body work being completed before painting that I will furnish to the new owner of this auction. Also installed at that time a new front windshield and a new rear window glass. All new window, door and trunk rubber was installed as well. The chrome front and rear bumpers are very clean with no pitting and for sure are way above and beyond driver quality chrome. The floor boards and trunk are both in very good undamaged condition. The car was ordered new without a vinyl top so the entire area around the rear glass was, and is, very nice and dry. In 2010 I installed a complete new exhaust system, and at that time, also rebuilding the complete front end. New disk brakes on the front, all new wheel cylinder kits and four new coil springs were installed. I updated and repaired the A/C system which is now still working and blowing cold as it should. A new heater coil has been installed and new quality carpets installed. A new pre-made headliner was ordered in the original Trim Code 272, which is GOLD in color and a new Gold color vinyl package tray from SMS Auto fabrics in OR. were both installed. All of the dash gauges work, heater works, speedometer and odometer work. Dash lights and all exterior lights work as they should. AM factory installed radio does work. Four Premium P215-75 R14 Firestone radial tries installed. Four NOS wheel well opening purchased. The front bucket seats and rear seat are in very good original condition. The padded dash does have a single crack as my photo will show. Both front door panels are in good condition showing a few cracks naturally for the age and use. This car is a very solid and strong mechanical Pontiac, it runs very cool even in the summer months. It's very dry underneath but does show a very small amount of oil dripping after sitting for several weeks in my garage. I have driven the Grand Prix just over 2,000 miles since all of the repairs and new paint in 2011. I do have a spare tire and original jack assembly that go with the car. The original '69 Pontiac owners manual is also included. This Grand Prix has a really nice straight body and is a great driving car.
