Vehicle Detail
For sale is a loaded 2005 Pontiac Vibe. Single owner, owned by a non-smoker and never smoked in, garaged daily, synthetic oil every 5,000 miles. Accident free with a clean title. It offers: -Power Package (power programmable door locks, remote keyless entry, cruise, power windows). Loved the locks feature which let me set them to engage when I put the car into drive and disengage when I put it into park. You can change it to 4-5 different options by following directions in the manual. -Moon and Tunes package (power sunroof, 200 watt premium audio system, integrated subwoofer). Please note that the original upgraded stereo has been replaced (but I do still have the original in my possession) with a Pioneer AVH-P43000DVD touchscreen stereo. General awesome details include: make and receive calls with Bluetooth, Pandora compatible, iPhone compatible, plug and play ready for DVD viewing in the backseats (I never ended up picking out screens but the wiring is all in place). You can read more about this stereo here: http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Car/DVD-Receivers/AVH-P4300DVD -Optional front and side curtain airbags installed. This model was available with front and side curtain airbags. This car received 4s and 5s from the National Highway Transportation Safety Association with the exception of the front side impact for which it got 3 stars. I figured the optional airbags would at least improve that to a 4 if not a 5 and bump up some of the 4 rating to 5s. Since my two children ride in this vehicle daily and I also carpool, safety was my most important decision in selecting this car (followed by gas mileage). View more about this vehicle's safety details here: http://www.motortrend.com/cars/2005/pontiac/vibe/crash_test_ratings/ -Comes with Husky front floor mats, privacy drape for hatch, and a K&N air filter. Includes two keyless entry fobs, two car keys, owner's manual for the car and the new stereo. Misc. maintenance records and paperwork. Newer battery purchased at Sam's Club. Condition of the car body, interior, and mechanics: This car has been well maintained. It receives synthetic oil changes every 5,000 miles. The miles are mostly highway driving to and from work. The exterior is in excellent overall condition with the exception of some scrapes to the back left bumper corner (a gift from someone while I was parked at the grocery store). I did have the car panel involved repainted but opted not to do the bumper. My last photo is a closeup of this area. This vehicle has never been involved in a accident, has not been a victim of flooding or water damage, and has had no major issues. This vehicle model did have some complaints about the paint quality not holding up and chipping very easily. I have not found that to be the case. While I'm sure there is a chip somewhere after 8.5 years I have not noticed one anywhere. There is no rust evident to the body. I have it washed at a touchless station and get the highest wash package which includes undercarriage and protectant. The interior is very clean. I've gone over the seats with our carpet cleaner and the whole interior has been vacuumed, dusted, and polished. My husband is pretty picky and I think he would be pleased with a used car in this condition. Finally, I've had the check engine light come on a few times and took it to my dealer when it stayed on. The error code indicated that the "throttle body valve" needs to be serviced. They told me this would be a couple hours of labor and no parts. From my hindsight is 20/20 research, this is something that a do-it-yourselfer can handle at home. I'm already kicking myself for buying a new car when my check engine light came on. I noted no change in shifting, accelerating, or gas mileage in the four weeks I drove it while waiting for my new car to arrive. The engine sounds and drives well. This has been a very dependable car that I am so very comfortable in and I don't like my new Subaru nearly as much. I'm sure that will change with time but I miss all the little details and the amazing stereo. I loved this car and so do most people: http://www.cars.com/pontiac/vibe/2005/consumer-reviews/ Kelly Blue Book values this car in my area at $4150 without the stereo, mats, and air filter. I feel a modest assessment with those items is $4500. At this point I estimate the valve service it needs would be $200-$250 (unless it is done at home). My BIN price reflects a deduction of $375 which should more than cover this service procedure. A $250 deposit is due within 24 hours of auction end or BIN. If you pay for and pickup the vehicle within 48 hours of auction end or BIN the deposit requirement is waived. I just don't want a buyer who doesn't follow through after a week and then other interested parties have moved onto something else. The remainder of purchase price is due upon pickup in Peru, NY 12972 via cash or cashier's check within 7 days of auction end/BIN purchase. If you pay by cashier's check, I will retain keys and title until the check clears. There have been MANY scams with fake checks so my apologies to the honest folks out there.
