Here is your chance to get a Rare Bird! I have owned this Formula for nearly 2 years. Its been a real fun car. The car handles like its on rails and the six speed shifts flawlessly. I put a new clutch pressure plate and throw out bearing in last March. While I had the trans out I also pulled the oil pan and replaced the rear main as it was seeping. The opti spark quit working last month. I purchased a new one (179.99) with a lifetime warranty! I put the opti spark in and changed the oil. After I started the car back up and was raising the rpms to get some heat in the engine and get any air out of the cooling system it developed a knock. I was shocked to say the least as you would expect this to happen on the other end of a 100 ft long burnout!! Well it didnt I guess it was just time for it to develop. The car still runs and drives good but anything over 2000 to 2500 it knocks. I am pretty sure its a rod bearing but not for certain. The car has been a great daily driver and it gets 24 miles per gallon!! When its in sixth gear on the highway at 75 mph its turning only 1200 rpms!!! The paint on the car is new. The car has no rust. This car is a WS6 and has the 17 by 9 inch ws6 wheels. The car is missing one of the original wheels and I have seen them here on ebay for a couple hundred so they are hard to find but they do turn up from time to time. The one wheel that doesnt match is from a 97 z28. This car also has the true RAM AIR hood and air box. This car in pieces is prolly worth more then selling it whole but I will give it one more chance to sell as a whole car. If it doesnt sell I will sell it in pieces just email or call to get prices. This is a great Father Son/ Daughter project. If you have some time before junior starts driving you can pull the engine and get it built and put it back in and go drive it like you stole it!! (only if the kid is not with you) Then when the kid is with you its time to be responsible and teach them how to drive a standard! The car can be driven up and down the road like it is but anything over 2000 rpms you going to hear a knock but it can be driven so you can check out the brakes and shifting and basic driveability of the car. I am a diesel mechanic and very picky about my cars, if I notice the slightest noise or sound that I think is not normal I start looking for the cause and dont stop till its fixed. That is why this car has new wheel bearings. I noticed a humming noise coming from the right front. After looking at it closer I noticed a little "slack" in the passengers side bearing so I replaced it, noise gone. The brakes " Pulsed" when applied so I changed the rotors and now there smooth. I had to answer questions on the ad here because my ebay Q and A is messed up and I cant answer them through ebay. I also will include a 1994 Trans Am that I bought for some extra parts for this car when I first bought it. The other car does not have a rearend and you will need a winch or wrecker to move it. The other car is mainly a body shell with doors, no interior no motor or trans but it does have a hood and rear deck lid with tall spoiler ( taller then the one on the red car),.
