This is a fairly complete car for restoration and includes an original rebuilt engine, a major financial bonus towards the restoration costs. The engine is currently removed from the car and is on a wooden pallet for shipping purposes. It is exceptionally clean and detailed. It currently shows engine number P*610987, but included in the sale is another front engine case, third piece (which is most likely the original) with stamping # P*600374. Both numbers are correct for a B engine of this period. Included with the car are all the items shown in the parts pictures, so please examine the pictures closely... Some welding repairs have been performed on the underside floors, which are pictured. The doors appear very decent as well as the original battery pan. The engine hatch lid fits very well. The rear of the car is very nice. The hood has had a repair around the hinge area on the LH side. At some point in it's life, a RH headlight replacement section was installed. The door gaps appear OK. The car has had some modest bodywork started on it at some point as a start to the restoration. The car has been primed a red oxide color. It was painted silver at some point in it's life, after the original Ruby Red factory color. The car is missing the softtop frame, windshield glass, and the original radio. There could be some minor trinkets that need to be purchased. There is the bonus of 4 new reproduction habcaps. There are some original interior panels of the correct light brown trim. A spare rim is included.Overall, a genuine and desirable open 356 B Cabriolet for restoration, a rare car in this condition. It has the added bonus of a factory hardtop and a rebuilt engine.
