First of all I would like to personally thank the three inconsiderate domestic and international bidder(s) for obliterating the otherwise legitimate auction canceled earlier today. I am not certain if that was their juvenile intention, as neither bidder asked a question or contacted me prior to or following their actions. In my opinion, they compromised the integrity of the auction, and may have subsequently created doubt in those willing to place a legitimate bid. So it was my decision to relist this vehicle for all individuals who fully comprehend this is not a game, have the funds available (and in some cases) already received permission from their wives. I also understand this may have cost potential bids with money lost. But as my feedback will reflect, I make every effort to represent an honest item in every auction -- regardless of the price. My apologies to those who placed a bid, and to the 200+ watchers waiting for the closing minutes. Return to the days of Miami Vice, big hair, and Reaganomics... up for auction is a beautiful production year 1985 AMC Eagle. One family owned and rust-free, this low mileage early American sport wagon, with it's exterior and interior color combination, make it an absolute head turner. The vehicle starts and runs out nicely with smooth gear changes and brakes straight and true. Idles a bit high at start-up for 10 to 15 seconds, then settles nicely. The 4-wheel drive option operates as factory intended. All dash gauges, warning lights and dials function properly, with the exception of the cruise control (which I have not attempted to diagnose). All lights and signals are functional. New heater core installed earlier this year, while the air conditioning system needs to be re-charged. I will include 2 cans of R12 freon if I am unable to locate my tapper hose and charge prior to the auction completion. Vehicle runs dead center optimal on the temp gauge, and doesn't burn or use up any oil. Spending it's entire vehicle life in Colorado, neither issues of rust nor rot on the body or frame with factory undercoating complete and intact. The windshield and all glass is clear with zero cracks and the all-season tire set shows 70+ % tread life remaining. Overall, simply a beautiful and honest example of an AMC wagon, with charm and period good looks which will bring the new owner years of proud ownership. You will find very few Eagle wagons currently enjoying the road, and even fewer still in this well-kept condition. This vehicle deserves to be driven more often then I get it out of the garage, and responds favorably the more often it does. While not 100% perfect, it is unquestionably dependable enough to be used as a daily driver if called upon, and certainly a vehicle which belies it's 30 years of existence. It's a durable and simple wagon; cool to drive and commands attention -- often inducing strangers to approach inquisitively. And while it can hold freeway speeds with ease, the true spirit of the Eagle shines when driving mountain roads whether sunny or snow packed. I would have no reservations driving this vehicle to either coast tomorrow. Let the prepsters and pretenders blend in with their Outback's and XC's. This is America; and your Eagle has landed.
