Here is a very nice clean car:FordElite2 dr.351 Windsor EngineAutomaticVinyl top19768 Track Here is a very nice 1976 Ford Elite. I have owned it for about 2 years. It runs fine and drives very good also. Since I have owned it I repaired a few things: I had the muffler and tailpipe replaced, I replaced the tachometer and the blower switch and I had the carburetor completely rebuilt (I sent it in to National Carburator and they rebuilt it like new). Since I have owned it, I hardly have used it. The few times I did drive it, I was impressed with the smoothness and handling. The steering is great and I took it up to 70 mph a few times and it shifts fine and the engine works great. I have some documentation from the previous owner and I also have the names of the previous owners and they are very receptive to receiving phone calls to talk about the history of this car. The previous owner drove it every day to work. The paint appears to be original and is in pretty good condition. The only negative is the small vinyl top is pretty well worn and should be replaced. Its only a small top and wouldn't cost much to replace. I would say if someone replaced the vinyl top and the carpeting this car would look fantastic. The carpeting is still good but it appears to be original. There is a very small hole in the drivers side fender that will have to be replaced. Its only in the outer layer of sheet metal and wouldn't take much to fix that. Also the tires are pretty well worn. All the chrome looks pretty good with only some minor pitting on the rear bumper that can be buffed out. This car turns a lot of heads, I get compliments all the time and several people offered to buy it from me but at that time I still wanted to keep it. The reason I am selling it is because I have too many cars and parking them is becoming a problem. Also I don't have the time anymore for some of my hobbies like I was planning. When this car is cleaned up it shows really nice. There is a small rip in the vinyl seat drivers side that will have to be repaired but the rest of it is clean. I had another car with a rip and I had it repaired for 100.00. So the bottom line is this car is in pretty good shape for its age and will not require a lot of money to fix it up. The Cleveland Engine is highly sought after and has plenty of power. Everything works on this car: The Tach,, the speedometer,all gauges,all lights,turn signals,etc. The headliner is perfect. You wont be disappointed in this car, It drives nice. I haven't used the air cond, so I don't know if it works or not. I was told it may need Freon. the radio is am/fm. (however I do have a brand new ford am/fm/8track still in the box that I will include with this car if you wanted to put it in yourself. There is a spare tire and jack in the trunk. I also have a tow hitch assy that comes with the car and can be bolted on if you want to connect it. So the bottom line is that this car is a nice clean car with previous owner history available and it runs nice and looks nice. It will only require some minor repairs to fix it up even better. You can have it transported to your house or pick it up and drive it home I have seen cars like this listed for over 10,000 in similar condition.
