2005 Chevy Express 3500 1-ton Van 6.0L LQ4 4L80E 197k miles I purchased At A salvage auction with 15X,XXX miles I replaced the right front fender - Pass door Mirror and windshield Sold it to my friend When he got the title back it Said Salvaged Vehicle Rebuilt / Repaired I serviced it regularly The trans appears to have been out at one point it is painted black !! but who knows how long ago that was ..... The engine runs strong and trans shifts fine ...... Check engine light is on with a code for a vent valve ... air bag light is on with a code for a crash sensor .... power steering pump is leaky ...... Then at 195k miles the van was rear ended frame is bent 1/4 panels are wrinkled floor is pushed up beyond repair .. Rear doors still open .... insurance company totaled the van for the 2nd time ... Title was turned in and and came back again salvaged repaired vehicle so technically i would say this has a double salvaged title ...if thats even possible ... the van was purchased back from the insurance and driven for for another 2000 miles until the sticker and registration expired .... now it has 197k miles I think this would Be a great doner for the drive train for your Hot Rod Rat Rod Project .. Or what ever LSx project you may have Pull the drive train ... strip the rest of the van to part out.. scrap the shell and you should get a good chunk of you investment back.....
