VERY NICE BIKE FOR SALE MUST GO!!!!!! 1978 Honda Hawk hondamatic runs and drives 18k miles which is nothing for these bikes.Could use new tires and carbs synced. Starter clutch for electric start is not working, but kick start works just fine, it starts first or second kick every time. Chrome is nice! Super example of an old hondamatic. Just over 18k miles. Exhaust is nice, mufflers are not rotted on the bottom. All lights work. 1 week old battery. Any questions feel free to ask. If you want to see it in person contact me and we will set a time. How Hondamatic works is it is a 2 speed ( 2 gears) no clutching. It works on a torque converter instead of a clutch like most bikes. You start in neutral lift shifter with left foot and its in 1st gear, give it gas and it goes up to 50-55, lift shifter with foot again into 2nd gear and you can go about 90 steadily. Left hand where clutch would normally be is a parking brake. Very comfortable to drive. My personal bike is a honda cm400a hondamatic with 35k miles on it and I don't think I will ever ride anything else. I have arthritis so the no clutch is super nice on long rides and in traffic.
