Thank you! 1956 DESOTO SEVILLE HARDTOP HEMI I am pleased to offer this wonderful 1956 Desoto Seville Hardtop. This is the second year into Virgil Enners new forward look and the first year for Chrysler’s 4 door hardtop. For 1956 a longer stroke brought Desoto’s Hemi to 330.4 cubic inches and the big change from the previous year were the new tail fins carry distinctive tri-tower tail lamps. The Desoto that I am offering was sold new in Sacramento California and remained there until this year when I purchased it. It still carries its original California black plate and I have a copy of the California title. Coming from California you can expect to get a virtually rust free car with just very minor bubbling on one of the very lower sections of the rear quarter panel as it meets the rocker. I do not have a complete history of this car but the previous owner obviously took great pride in this car and best of all did things such as an electric fuel pump and a more powerful ignition system to make driving worry free. I can tell you my experience has been delightful, this Desoto will really go down the road. The body condition would be considered very good with only a few minor scratches or dings most of which have been nicely touched up over time. The paint still has a great shine. The bumpers appear to be original and although not excellent still have an amazing shine for their age. All of the trim is bright and complete. Inside has been restored and should be considered in excellent condition. There is a radio in the dash but it is disconnected. The dash has not been cut and there is an original radio delete face panel that goes with the car. You will see a box of replacement parts in the trunk and they will go with the car. The spare, jack and tire tools are complete. Again I want to emphasize how well this Desoto drives. If I would change anything I would eventually go to radial wide whites.
