I am selling my 1987 Porsche 924 S in great condition. It has 114,000 miles, 2.5 L 4 cylinder Engine. 924 S was only imported for 24 months in the US for the years 1987 and 1988. It has the 944 Engine and Drivetrain. I originally bought this car from an 87 year old family member who owned this car for 5+ years who kept the car well maintained and did many repairs. I have receipts of recent work including new timing belt, new water pump, new tie rod ends, new rack and pinion, A/C Conversion to R-134A, and tune ups. Has a fairly new battery as well. Newer tires and original phone dial rims. Interior is in decent condition, not bad for being 26 years old. A few cracks on the dashboard as usual. Center console lid is broken off. Porsche Floor mats. Has a vent / removable sunroof. Horn does not work. Body is in great shape, no rust. During production the body was galvanized to prevent rust. Pop up lights work great. 4 New Pioneer Speakers, but needs head unit.I have priced the car lower to allow for transmission work. Everything else is in great working condition. NEEDS TRANSMISSION WORK – Transmission is automatic but will not shift into gear. It is NOT driveable. I recently had the car looked at by a Porsche specialty mechanic and he diagnosed it as a bad clutch pack. I have decided to sell as is, as I have decided not to invest the money in this repair.
