Vehicle Detail

*** Please click on the link below after reading through the description to view over 75 high resolution photos safely on flickr.com Up for auction is a beautiful and well preserved, low mileage, one owner 1987 VW Vanagon GL. The Savannah Beige metallic / tan interior compliment this vehicle very well making it one of the nicest combinations originally offered. The interior is immaculate, with the blemish-free original seats, carpet, instrument panel, headliner and dash all in exceptional condition. All the vehicle gauges and accessories work as factory intended (including the cruise control) with the air conditioner blowing cold at all speeds throughout the entire vehicle, while the heater blows hot the same. The vehicle starts and idles nicely, and runs out smoothly shifting through all gears with zero issues of running hot regardless of cruising in the mountains or sitting in summer freeway traffic. Zero fluid leaks or mixing of fluids. This smoke-free, pet-free vehicle brakes straight and all fluids have been serviced with a seasonal tune up recently completed. The matching tire set has approximately 90+% tread remaining and the windshield is completely blemish-free. Neither issues of rust nor rot are evident on the body or frame since spending it's entire vehicle life in Colorado. The original paint shines bright and deep with a recent professional rub/polish/wax. The roof was beginning to show spots of clearcoat flaking so it was decided to paint it a satin base to match the stripe which has truly enhanced the overall appearance of the vehicle. The body is dent-free with the exception of a parking lot bump and run to the left of the lower grill as photographed. The hubcaps are a custom creation complete with Wolfsburg emblems. After driving/sitting for several days, zero fluid leaks are evident under the vehicle. Overall, simply an honest Vanagon GL in exceptional well-over-average condition which was obviously lovingly cared for and will bring the new owner years of proud ownership. I would have no reservations driving this VW to either coast tomorrow, and it is not listed locally -- so it will not disappear prior to the auction ending on Monday. Please review the photos as I feel they are the true representation of the overall condition of the vehicle. Feel free to ask any and all questions prior to placing a bid and I will answer them as quickly and honestly as possible. Inspections are certainly welcome prior to auction ending -- not after please; as this auction is to purchase and not to simply hold. Any repeated questions I will display below for all to review. I certainly do not intend to exclude anyone from attempting to bid on this vehicle. However "zero bidders" are discouraged from bidding (learned unfortunately from years of non-payments) by having a valid Paypal account necessary to place a bid. A $500 deposit is due within 48 hours of auction completion, with the balance due within 7 days. The original owner title is free and clear in my hand. Please review the payment instructions and methods accepted below prior to bidding. Again, if you have any questions just let me know. Thank you for looking, and good luck if you choose to place a bid. I have had great success with "uship.com" and would recommend this option to family. They offer a 'price estimator' feature on their site which will allow you an example of what price you could expect to pay comparable to miles shipped. Check them out as they will significantly beat everyone else in the market as you essentially negotiate the price you would like to pay. Use their feedback as a starting point and make your choice of carrier from there. On Jun-25-13 at 21:56:42 PDT, seller added the following information: I have had numerous requests for the reserve price -- no problem. $6499.99
