For sale 1974 Montesa 250VR motocross bike. This is a fairly rare bike which would be a good starting point for a full on restoration or as a vintage racer. Parts are still available from various sites in the US and on eBay. The serial number is 73M7378. It is in good original condition. It has spark but I haven’t tried to start it. Here are the details. The tank is in very good condition. The seat is in good condition but has a few small rips at the back. The rear fender and side number plates are original and in good condition.The fuel petcocks, front number plate, front fender are not original. I don’t think the handlebars are either. The exhaust pipe and silencer are original. The silencer has a few small dents and the exhaust also has some small dents on the bottom. The rims and spokes are in good condition. The engine is in good shape with no broken or bent fins. The rear sprocket is in good condition. The forks are in good shape. There’s no rust or pitting in the working section. The left fork has a bit of pitting at the top between the triple clamps. I live in Toronto, Ont Canada. Prefer you come here to pick it up. Would deliver to Mid Ohio in July for $250 for gas and expenses. Would also consider driving further for expenses. Let me know where you live and I can give you the cost. We could also meet half way. Whatever mutually works out. I would also consider shipping it using Forward Air to any Canadian or lower 48 state Forward Air Locations. As an example the price for a medium size container shipped to Los Angeles is $1200 which includes the Forward Air container lock and straps. Closer locations would be cheaper. Payment by International money order or certified check, cashable in Canada, for the auction and shipping option is due within one week of the auction ending.
