OK ,,Heres my 1926 EXCELSIOR Super X offered for sale . This was a privateer racer when i bought it about fiveteen years ago. Story was it was used on tracks in nj and ny.. Wornout i had it totally rebuilt by ny engine gu ru Irv truax. the frame was reconstructed to exact specs. by michael lange , as page 186 and 187 of the amercian racer , same bike as joe petrali and red wolverton as well as the factory team . I ran this on the weedsport , syracuse davenport and wauseon tracks. unfortutely the front rod broke on startup 4 years ago at davenport and the piston broke the front cylinder top.. I gathered a nice cylinder and original rod set but decided my playing on the track is over . So thats the story . I didnt damage any part of the motor but it will have to be rebuilt . Cases are perfect no welds or brakes . THIS is all original parts from excelsior , not a repop kit bike. This has the correct racing barrel carb and it was always a easy starter. I also have gearing for the mile and half mile. also included is a original brake setup pictured if desired. SO rebuild the motor and go racing . frame tank and fork have original paint . Rims and tires are repro an spoked by buchannans in calif. This bike will do 80mph .maby faster ?? Anyway PLEASE NO SCAMMERS!!
