Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 This is a no-reserve auction for a non-sunroof 1970 911T, Vin# 9110122684, Eng#6107648, Eng code 911/07. This car is currently Guards Red but was originally Tangerine. It was repainted about 8 years ago and shows nicely. The chrome and bright work is in excellent condition and really needs no work. Wheels are appropriate for a 1970 911T, painted silver with hub caps but I am not sure if they are original to the car (been a lota years since this thing rolled off the assembly line). The interior on this car is good. Carpets are not original but are usable. Gauges are un-restored and look great and the dash has a cap on it because of some cracking. The front seats are very nice as well as the jump seats in the back. The suspension and brakes have been looked at and are in good shape. The motor is original to the car with the correct Zenith carbs and the trans shifts smoothly through all 5 gears. The car does have some rust and the front suspension pan needs to be replaced as well as the mounting point for the front cross member on the passenger side. The few other area’s that have rust are the floor pan in the front driver’s side. This area has some pin holes and is very thin in some spots but is not a structural problem. Another spot is the heater duct/tube in the back near the engine. The torsion bar tube is in solid shape and is not affected by this. So what is the rest of the story?? A friend of mine, who is a 356 guy, was on a business trip in Louisville Kentucky when he started talking Porsche to one of the people he was meeting with. That guy said “I have one of those that has been in the family for a long time” and one thing led to another. After looking at the car, my friend was asked if he wanted to buy it, a deal was made the papers were notarized and the car was shipped out here to California. The car was not running when it arrived here in California but really just needed a good cleaning and a few other items attended to. As you can see the car was washed and waxed. It came out great. The brakes were checked for safety reasons and are in great working order now. Since the engine was not running, the correct Zenith carbs were rebuilt, spark plugs were changed and the car fired up. The car has had the Carrera Tensioner upgrade done. The car is drivable for short jaunts so you can see that it runs and shifts well. Remember, the front suspension pan needs to be replaced. Please look closely at the pictures. If you want more pictures please let me know as I have between 50 and 60 available. If you would like to make an appointment to see the car, that would be great too. If you have any questions please just shoot me a message through ebay or give me a call at 805-550-8105. I will help with loading the car for transport and international bidders are welcome. $1000 deposit by Paypal required within 24 hours, the remainder by Bank Transfer within 7 days. I can hold the car for 2 weeks after the sale. Car has a clean Kentucky title ready for you to sign. inkFrog Analytics
