HAPPIEST BEETLE ON THE ROAD! 2003 VW GLS TDI (DIESEL) NEW BEETLE MANUAL TRANSMISSION 168,141 MILES 45-50 MPG Happiest car on the road. Makes people smile just to see you drive by. I have loved this car for three happy years; now it is your turn. Gets 40-45 mpg, depending on how you drive it. (45 for me, 40 for the hubby!) Recently had the 160k service with new timing belt, drive belt, tensioners, rollers, and water pump. Sound mechanical condition, lovingly maintained, service records. Never wrecked, runs like a charm. Only selling because beloved daughter needs an automatic to learn to drive. Beetle is in very good condition. Scratches on lower right front bumper, (see picture) otherwise body is in great shape with no dents. Custom decals are removable without damage to paint. Dash is in perfect shape, no scratches. Latch on glove box is broken but can be opened and closed by manually pressing release tabs. Driver’s door handle broke and has been replaced with very nice metal handle (see pictures). Passenger door panel in perfect condition. Keyless entry works perfectly for all doors including back hatch. Interior releases for fuel door and rear hatch in perfect working order, along with rear view mirror adjustment knob. Leather seats in great condition, no tears or undue wear. Seat heaters will toast your buns off! Headliner has no rips, tears, or stains.Factory CD player with two 6-disc cartridges.A/C is ice cold, heater works perfectly. Carpets and mats are in great condition, front mats are heavy duty custom black and red woven mats in perfect condition. My car has been regularly serviced. It does need two new front tires because I put 10,000 miles on a set of new tires without having it aligned. : ( Front tires are worn at the edges and it now shimmies a little at highway speeds. Finally got it aligned two weeks ago. NTB confirmed that there were no mechanical problems with the front end, just worn tires from not being aligned. It is due for an oil change and the yellow check engine light has come on. Two previous owners. I have service records from prior owner. Only selling because I need an automatic.
