This is a high point restoration that has won three Dearborn awards at three different Early Ford V8 Club Western National Meets. Washington blue paint, Ed Warnock built original flathead that runs like new. Clock mirror, windwings, sidecurtains/rods, radio works, banjo steering wheel, spider hubcaps, newly woodgrained dash, complete tool set, new exhaust, LeBaron Bonney leather upholstery. Excellent tour car and still nice enough to show at a V8 National Meet or any Concourse. This is a pristine cosmetically and mechanically restored car anyone would be proud to own. There are so few of these stylish four door open touring cars left. Three years ago, maybe four, Bonham and Butterfield's Auction House sold Jack Hogan's collection which included an identical '36 Ford Phaeton, same quality restoration,  for $100,000 plus the seller and buyer commissions. This Phaeton is fairly priced to sell, and would be an awesome addition to any collection. Introduced in 1935, the Model 48 was given a cosmetic refresh annually, begetting the 1937 Ford before being thoroughly redesigned for 1941. The 1935 Ford's combination of price, practicality, and looks vaulted the company ahead of rival Chevrolet for the sales crown that year, with 820,000 sold.
