Vehicle Detail
Super Rare 1955 AMC/Nash Rambler Country Club Farina body 2 door hardtop.. Not many made and even less around now. 6 cyl, auto transmission ( no pb/ps), car runs smoothly and does not smoke. Transmission is leaking badly so the car is sitting in my driveway and is not being driven. I filled it up and drove it around the block but the amount of fluid coming out made me just park it. Solid body with no evidence of rust or bodywork that I can see. Very solid body panels - all metal. A brand new interior including seats, headliner, carpet etc. has just been installed. It needs some interior dtetail work finished. I saved it from an estate sale and the other buyers had no idea how rare this body style was, and were going to cut it up and make it into a drag car or street rod. I need to sell it since I am in the middle of other restorations and need the funds for those - this was just picked up to save it for those who know what it is. The orignal owner was slowly restoring it before they passed away. All I have done since I bought it is hook up the engine and get it running ( it was rebuilt , installed and never hooked up or run and I have the receipt that I found in the car for the rebuild), stripped out the ratty old moldy interior and replaced it with a match for what was removed., cleaned and painted everything inside, redid the brakes, and cleaned/ polished up the outside and inside. That's it. The rest you can do. There are lots of parts in the trunk and I know the emblems / trim that are not on the outside are in the trunk as are other bits/ pieces. There is still some hooking up of electrical items such as headlights, tail lights etc, but it is all there from what I can tell. Check out how rust free the car is and look at the trunk photos. As this is a 58 year old used car, there are no warranties what so ever and it is being sold as/is, where is. Located in S. Florida - email if you want more photos or photos of something not shown. Also email if you want to see and inspect the car
