You are looking at a 1938 International/Howe fire truck. The truck has been re-powered with a 1966 Chevy 283ci V8 and an automatic transmission. An electric cooling fan has also been added in front of the radiator. The Brakes have been updated with a dual master cylinder. There are turn signals and a new battery. The body is in pretty good shape with rust at the bottom of the radiator shell. hood and a small spot on the drivers side fender. Unknown where the truck originally served. Clear title. Truck comes with two hard suction hoses and strainer, siren, two axes and newer guages as well as the original gauges. I will also include an ALF front bumper that would look great on this rig. There are no ladders and I have two hoods to make one good one. Because of the automatic transmission, the pump is complete but does not work. The engine runs well but I have not driven it yet. The truck measures approximately 23' long and 75" wide. 78" from floor to top of windshield and 84" from floor to top of reel. The tires are 7.00x20 and will need to be replaced. Will make a great parade rig, Especially for someone that doesn't like stick shift. Would also make a great hot rod or rat rod project. On Jan-30-13 at 12:54:30 PST, seller added the following information: WE GOT THE TRUCK RUNNING REAL GOOD TODAY AND WAS ABLE TO DRIVE IT UP AND DOWN THE DRIVEWAY WITH NO PROBLEM. THE BRAKES WILL NEED SOME ATTENTION BEFORE IT CAN GO SAFELY DOWN THE ROAD. YOU CAN DEFINITELY TELL THERE IS A V8 UNDER THE HOOD. HAS A LOT OF GIDDYUP! AND A NICE THROATY SOUND TO IT. I WISH MY WIFE WOULD LET ME KEEP IT BUT I'M ONLY ALLOWED TO HAVE TWO FIRETRUCKS AT A TIME.
