I am selling my 1971 GTO. I am the original owner. I have the window sticker, factory invoice, protecto-plate, and dealer brochure. This car still runs strong and drives well. The transmission is the TH400 with dual-gate action. It performs beautifully. The color is lucerne blue with a sandalwood vinyl top. This car is 1 of 400 or so with this body style and engine combination. There is a Kenwood stereo with Infinity speakers and a 6-CD changer (in the trunk). There is also an 8-track player in the glove box (disconnected). In 1981 the car had 100,000 miles on it and the engine was balanced and blueprinted. Since then I have driven it sparingly. It has been garage kept for its entire life, however there is some flaking in the wheel wells and along the rocker panels and I do have a new NOS right front fender for it that I picked up at a body shop that was going out of business back in the mid 1980's. I also have a new set of tailpipe splitters and red center wheel hubs (see photo). The original A/C unit is gone (currently there is no A/C at all) because the car ran too hot. There is a transmission cooler. The original air cleaner was destroyed in a fire in my storage shed about 15 years ago. The reason I am selling is I need to have a down payment for another vehicle I wish to purchase as I tend to keep things for a long time. Check out the pictures.
