Thank you! 1935 CHRYSLER CZ AIRSTREAM DELUXE 8 TOURING SEDAN I am pleased to offer this historically significant 1935 Chrysler CZ Airstream Deluxe 8 Touring Sedan. This largely original example is wonderfully preserved and is finished in a lovely deep blue and retains its original Mohair interior. The reason I say that this Airstream is historically important is because Chrysler created this car for 1935 to overcome the unpopularity of the streamlined Airflow models. The Airstream was only offered for two years but hugely outsold the Airflow and as a result helped Chrysler weather the depression and allow them to continue with new models. This eight cylinder Airstream is one of the nicest examples that you will ever see and is truly remarkable how a moving machine can be in such preserved condition for over 77 years. The first thing you will notice is its incredible stainless trim that accentuates its lines. The front grill is an art deco statement that will stop you in your tracks. Below the long hood resides a supremely quiet 8 cylinder in line engine. Beyond the hood is the one piece windshield that rolls out for 1935 air conditioning. The smooth lines continue to include the full fender skirts which add an aura of luxury as well as length. Much of the paint looks original and the patina is marvelous. Both front fenders look to be refinished at some point and at best are presentable. I do not see any other areas that show any restoration at least not in the last 15-20 years. Inside is beyond belief. The dash is an exercise in beautiful design and the wood grain along with its huge round instruments is a sight to behold. Inside above the windshield is an original and of course rare Phinney Walker clock. Other features are a robe rail and foot rests for rear seat comfort. I could go on but I do not want to bore you. I will say that this Chrysler drives beautifully and has no known issues. Needless to say I welcome a visit to inspect this car and I bring it to market with the thought that it is competitively priced yet will quickly say where do you find a car of this quality and looks regardless of price. The partial payment is non-refundable, unless we fail to deliver the goods as described.  Balance will be due within 7 business days of the close of the auction.  Any exceptions to be worked out before the completion of the sale. Auctions ending on a Friday or holiday will be addressed the follow business day.
