The MB had been purchased in Europe by a pilot who flew into Punta Gordo for several years and kept the MB in the hanger before he abandoned the vehicle in the hanger for about 15 years before Charlie landed in 2004, the hanger was damaged and the car had minor body damage and a broken windshield. The hanger owner secured an abandoned vehicle title and had the damage repaired. The present owner purchased it in 2006, drove it until 2008 and stored it inside since.
