Thank you! 1966 CHRYSLER IMPERIAL LEBARON HARDTOP 440 I am pleased to offer this rare 1966 Imperial Lebaron 4 door Hardtop. As most of you know the Lebaron is Imperial’s most expensive offering and this one is nicely equipped. One of only 1878 produced in 1966, this Imperial has the venerable Chrysler 440 cubic inch engine rated at 350 horsepower. This Imperial has factory air conditioning, power brakes, power steering, power windows including power vents, power door locks, dual adjustable mirrors, power multi adjustable divided front seats and of course cruise control (auto pilot as Chrysler called it). The body is extremely nice with no apparent accident damage and it is free of any current dents or unsightly blemishes. The paint is an older respray in the original color and it has lost some of its depth but still very presentable. The front and rear bumpers appear original yet still have a bright look to them. All of the trim is in place and the grill is beautiful. Even the glass covered headlamps (last year for Chrysler) are superb. All of the glass is excellent with a mark free windshield. The interior is totally original and is awesome. It is significant the amount of detail and chrome that went into these majestic cars. The wood on the dash and doors is as new. Please feast your eyes on the interior shots because I could not find a flaw. The engine compartment is clean although a good detail is in order. The trunk is excellent with an original style tire and is complete with all the tools. Now the issues. Although this Imperial starts and runs beautifully it has a minor valve cover leak on the left bank. The brake booster needs to be overhauled as it takes way to much pressure to stop the car. I had the brakes themselves checked and they are new within the last year or so. The rear tires are new and even though the front tires show to have excellent tread they do suffer from sitting. It is my belief that the miles are correct and I have the original title showing the car sold new in Tennessee and remained in the Nashville area until now. Included in the sale are original title documents, original owner’s manual and a nice file of service records through the years. As always if you have any questions please call or email.
