Vehicle Detail

Up for sale is a 1973 ( first year of this body style ) Ford F-250 4x4 Factory High Boy Custom XLT. Truck. This is a true surviver it has never had any rust repair. Everything is solid as a rock doors, rockers cab corners, floors, box, inner & outer fenders you name it it's solid. This is NOT a truck that has been restored and lifted up to look like something it's not (like most so called High boy's) The truck is the same as it came in 1973 other than the paint and a dress kit. (I have the valve covers that it came with) The original seat has a split in the cover but is in good shape This truck was special ordered with Air cond., AM/FM/CB/ Raido 360 motor & 4 speed trans w/grany gear and devoriced transfer case all conected to closed knuckle dana military axels. These axels were used in the military trucks for vietnam and had to be special ordered after 1968. Like I said the truck has NOT been restored. This is a 40 year old truck that's 99% rust free including the underside. Please take time to see the pictures of the underside. Look at the mounts! Other then some paint loss thay are still like new. Even the rubber that thay sit on are still very nice. Notice how clean the nut's & bolt's are & not all rusted.( NO TORCH NEEDED) I wanted the nicest truck around. ( IF YOU START WITH RUST YOU END UP WITH RUST) I paid a good buck for the truck when I bought it in 2003. I then flew to california to get her. I could have found somthing cheeper close to home but I was tired of fixing rust bucket's. I drove it across country to Rochester NY. with no problem. I then had it painted black when I got it home. Not show quialty it show's a few flaws but nice. Since then I'v only put 5 or 600 miles on it. She just sits in the barn and it's time someone enjoys her. She was last on the road in 2007. Because it sits so much it will need fresh gas, tune up, maybe carb cleaned. She will start and drive but it's getting choppy. ( running ruff ) It has a rust spot starting over the back pass.wheel & a little on the pass. side roof. I added pictures of both. The tire's are the same one's that were on it when I bought it. They hold air and have tread but are old. It also has period sloted mag's that are in good cond. If the truck hit's my reserve price I will throw in a truck load of extras. New carpet, wheel's,lugs, and much more. If your looking for a nice old Ford truck that has not been patched & fiberglassed here it is don't wait till after the auction and wish you had bid. ( it's only being listed once ) You might find a nice truck for less but You will have a tuff time finding another one as true & nice as this.If you were to buy a new Ford F-250 4X4 today it would cost you 40,000 & I can asure you it won't be built like this. ANY ?? E-MAIL OR CALL John 585-786-3771 NO TEXTING & I WILL NOT CLICK ON ANY LINKS SENT TO ME. I WILL NOT REVEAL THE RESERVE THANKS 'On Oct-10-12 at 20:19:37 PDT, seller added the following information: FIRST YES THIS IS A RANGER XLT I have over 8500.00 into this truck not including travel. I was hoping she would bring close to that but I would rather see someone enjoy it than to see her just set in the barn. So I lowered the reserve to 5000.00 and I think that's less then half of what the truck's worth. Do some research, I don't think there is another one out there that was ordered with what this has and in this kind of shape. If your on the north or east cost you don't find them like this. I'm not selling this truck because I have to I have moved on to other interest but for less than this I will let it set in the barn until next year when I can grt get to her. Happy Bidding. On Oct-10-12 at 20:42:03 PDT, seller added the following information: If you were to bid 12,000.00 on this truck not only do I think you would get a good deal but I think you will be happy with her also.
