Thank you! 1972 CHEVROLET CORVETTE CONVERTIBLE I am pleased to offer this exceptional 1972 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible 4 speed. This Corvette has been upgraded to LT1 specs yet retains its original block. The engine has been built to LT1 specifications including correct LT1 heads, LT1 cam and intake manifold. The Holley carburetor is correct for an LT1. Everything in the motor is new and of course the cylinder heads have had a meticulous overhaul by a noted head specialist. To say this Corvette runs and sounds great is an understatement. The engine is backed by a close ratio 4 speed with a new clutch. I do not know the rear end ratio but it is a posi unit. This Corvette does have power steering and 4 wheel disc brakes with new stainless steel calipers front and rear. There are no mechanical issues. The body is all correct GM fiberglass. No accident damage and much of the paint is original but worn. You can easily see the original bonding strips and dimples forward of the hood. The hood is as new and is a correct LT1 hood. I believe that the radiator and shroud are also correct for an LT1 specification. There are only minor body issues where the fiberglass has minor cracks but frankly isn’t this the way you want to buy one of these cars. I want to also say that the birdcage is rust free as well as a rust free frame. The interior is very tidy with beautiful gauges. I am having trouble with the fuel gauge as at times it does not read. The wiper door works perfectly as you can see in the pictures as well as the headlight doors go up and down correctly. The convertible top is excellent and folds easily. The seat covers are new as is the carpet all correct GM replacement stuff. Even the LT1 spec 2 ½ inch exhaust is new. Other details include new tail lamps and license plate bezel. You will not find a better dialed in car and you can drive this one home. Even the T/A radials are new. I have a complete file of invoices of all that has gone onto this car.
