A FANTASTIC DRIVING EXAMPLE WITH LONG TERM COLLECTOR OWNERSHIP! SERVICED AND READY FOR THE NEXT OWNER TO ENJOY! VERY WELL OPTIONED AND STUNNING COLOR COMBINATION! SPECIFICATIONS Year 1955 Make MG Model TF1500 Roadster VIN XPEG1924 Mileage 35785 Engine 1466cc Cylinders Inline-4 Transmission 5 Speed Title Clear Color Cream / Burgundy Interior Color Black / Tan DESCRIPTION Considered an intermediate car for the MG Cars for only 3 years while the MGA was being finalized, only 9600 of these MG TF cars were ever produced. Based mainly on the TD, but the headlights were shaped beautifully in the front fenders, the hood was upgraded to push-button latches, and a radiator tilted slightly backwards for a very aerodynamically designed front end. This 1955 MG-TF 1500 roadster is finished with a Cream body and Burgundy fenders, Black and Tan interior with brand new Black canvass convertible top and side curtains. Fitted with its original, numbers matching XPEG 1466cc Inline 4 cylinder engine baring proper head stamp AEF118, although now mated to a fully sychromesh 5-speed manual transmission! This makes this particular example a delight to drive in any environment! Options include 15" painted wire spoke wheels, dual front fender-mounted mirrors, auxiliary mirror, badge bar and JF Halogen fog lamps, headlamp stone guards, MG logo floor mats, car cover, aluminum finned valve cover, Armstrong shock absorbers, and full tonneau cover! It will also come complete with original jack, brass knock-off tool, and cloth tool kit. All the original MG badges, XPEG engine plate, and VIN plates are untouched. The engine is still generator charged with factory style canister oil filter. The gas tank, sending unit, and filter are brand new. All gauges are functional and the starter is now a simple push-button versus the original pull design. This car is already listed in the New England "T" registry as car number 11381. The odometer shows only 35,785 miles, which are believed to be actual, but without complete documentation, we are making no such claim. It was just serviced and inspected by our local MG specialist and ready for immediate enjoyment! All cars are advertised locally and nationally. St. Louis Car Museum reserves the right to end any listing early upon receipt of deposit. Please do not hesitate to call us with questions, to schedule a viewing appointment, or to secure a vehicle.
