1969 AMC AMX 290 v8 auto, one of 299 cars built with this drive train in 69. Add factory air and factory posi, the original color (pompeii yellow P76) this is a very rare car. The 1969 290 v8 auto was the rarest of all of the two seat cars. This car came factory with manual drum brakes, I added 75-78 amc disc brakes (Bendix single piston) and 1969 amc power booster and master cylinder. I also replaced with all new parts, Rear springs and bushings, all new brake parts including lines, drums, rotors,bearings, hoses, pads and shoes, all new emergency brake cables and parts front to back. New strut rod and stabilizer bushings, front end alignment. I also installed all new ac compressor, clutch, idler pulley and belt! She blows COLD!. I installed amc original air cleaner lid and valve covers also reman 390 emblems and oil fill, I have all original in great condition. I put over $3000 in parts in this since I got it a year ago. I have all the original parts for the car. When I got the car The engine and trans were both professional rebuilt. This car runs and drives perfect!. The car has hand one repaint at least five years ago and looks very nice, not perfect, but I would say an 8.5 out of 10. The interior is all original except the front carpet and is in great condition, a couple of cracks in front seats that you have to look for to see. Original tac welds on front fenders, no rust or patches in front fender wells!. I noticed two small professional patches behind the seats.This car is sold!. No rust anywhere, I brought the car from AK, and the previous owner got it from CA. It has he go pack 140 speedo and tack, vacuum wipers. All new duel exhaust from fron to back in factory configuration.The trunk is soild wit all original paint. Everything works except the radio. The clock is a new original style but Quartz upgrade and works perfect!. Clear glass. original perfect grille, perfect headliner, dash, rechromed bumpers, no patch hood.
