Some components still remain and are provided to you in a separate box or bag: The AC compressor, AC Compressor Brackets. The pulley to accomodate a V-belt (drive belt) is currently mounted and usable. The car has been in dry storage for many years. The Fuel Tank is Not Currently connected. Instead the car runs on a small fuel holding cell located in the engine compartment. This is like a small plastic garden tractor fuel tank. This little tank is not included in the auction. They are available at tractor supply stores, but it's not safe to have a tank full of fuel sitting in a hot engine compartment, so I can't recommend you use that method. There is nothing being hidden about this Porsche, as so many people do in ads and auctions. You don't get 100% positive feedback over 13 years of registration by hiding things. If there is something you should know about the car of which I am aware, it's available to you in the auction. I have gone far out of my way by shooting hundreds and hundreds of photos not just of every imaginable angle, but also in multiple lighting conditions, even multiple cameras, and I did videos for you -- by doing this you don't have to rely on a seller's "interpretation" of characteristics of the car, but instead you can draw your own conclusions from what you see. My goal is that if you use everything I provide to you, you get a more thorough demonstration of the car than if you came to see a car in person. I also go out of my way to make sure people are satisfied. I work hard to make sure I get specific positive feedback comments; I don't take it lightly, and it means a lot to me. I look forward to getting to know you if you'd like me to (or if you'd like to buy the Porsche without me getting to know you, that's OK too!)! Use the combination of the photos, videos and text for full disclosure, with more emphasis on the photos and video as the description is clearly not intended to be exhaustive. As eBay says, a single picture is worth a thousand words. eBay strongly recommends the best practice of providing as many photos as possible and letting the photos do the talking, rather than trying to describe in words what can be seen in a photo or trying to recreate in words what already is in provided photos. That said, I will still gave you my impression of the Porsche's characteristics above as a secondary analysis. I have been registered on eBay nearly 13 years and have 100% positive feedback. If your impression of a picture/video differs from what I've written or said, then your own opinion should govern your opinion. Any questions, message me through the eBay messaging system, which eBay indicates is always the preferred method of communication. I will usually answer within 24 hours. I wish the new owner of this superb 44+ year old car unlimited and unending happiness with his or her new acquisition, and hope it goes to someone who appreciates it all. AUCTION RULES: Full payment is due within within 7 calendar days of auction ending by either cash in-person to be transacted at a bank during banking hours or bank wire transfer only. (Once you receive a fraudulent cashier's check from a buyer, you'll never accept another one either!) If you insist on using a check, the check may only be drawn from a bank with a South Florida branch and it will be made out to your name where you will then convert it into cash in front of me or my representative before paying. If you don't do this you'll have to wait a minimum of 6 weeks for the check to fully clear and you will incur unavoidable storage charges. If you pay by cash, I will meet you in a local branch to accept the cash and it will be deposited immediately and obviously the bank teller will check each currency note for legitimacy. I will not deviate from these rules. The trunk perlon felt as pictured is not included. The one you see pictured cost $65 new, or you can spend much more on one as you like. An old trunk perlon felt liner is included, and is already stored in a bag in the trunk along with the AC compressor. Trunk liners are a personal preference, and it's better for you to pick the one you like. Pickup is also due within 14 calendar days, and may not occur until funds have cleared. Storage for the first 14 days is 100% FREE. There is a storage charge of $350/week beyond 14 days, and is limited to 2 extra weeks (for a total of 4 weeks of storage). If you want to avoid these storage fees but can't pick up the car for months, I can set you up with a public storage unit under your name, put the car in there and FedEx you the keys, title, etc., as long as you have paid in advance. You must read the entire auction description, follow the rules, and study each picture and video fully. I do not offer any kind of a warranty on anything that I sell, ever, as a matter of personal philosophy -- this Porsche is As Is with no warranty. You get the Porsche as pictured, captured in the videos, and described, a clean a clear title, a Bill of Sale and copy of my Driver's License if you wish, the front real German license plate, the rear 1968 Florida License Plate, and if their inclusion is indicated in the description or pictures: records, books, documentation, brochures, etc., and 2 keys. On Jul-05-12 at 20:52:53 PDT, seller added the following information: Any inspections must take place prior to the auction end. The following slideshow automatically displays the first 100 of the approximately 1,100 available pictures in this album. To view the remainder of them, and to be able to zoom in, etc., right-click near the bottom of slideshow window where it says "View all" and select "Open in new window" or "Open in new tab." That will keep this auction page open while you are viewing the pictures in a separate web browser window or tab: On Jul-05-12 at 21:14:33 PDT, seller added the following information: The following movies show various aspects of the car: walk around, starting the car in first gear, engine rev close-up, and driving the car. Let me apologize in advance that are so shaky and not constantly framed deliberately, especially the first video which is only briefly useful. I needed a third hand to do the job. Still you get to see perspective on the car, starting, running and a little driving so really a bunch of good things. . On Jul-06-12 at 14:58:32 PDT, seller added the following information: Receipts, Documents, Records, Notes: There is a folder included with this car with various receipts in it. Some of those receipts document various replacements done to the car, such as new generator, clutch assembly & fork replaced, etc. Additionally, though it was a long time ago, I took notes on what the previous owner claimed to have had done, such as having front and rear glass new seals installed, new fuel pump, new shock and new brakes. In terms of provenance (antique history), there is a photocopy of the previous title (before my title) from Louisiana included with the car. I will provide the new owner with a $50 rebate toward the cost of a Certificate of Authenticity (aka "Birth Certificate") issued by Porsche Cars of North America. CoA's are official documents authorized by Porsche AG, in presentation format suitable for framing, showing known history (such as port of importation) and original factory options -- I require that you send me a copy of the invoice for the CoA, and I will promptly give you the rebate. On Jul-06-12 at 16:25:23 PDT, seller added the following information: Includes original Owner's Manual (NOT A FAKE/RE-PRINT), in German (auf Deutsch). The Porsche 912 Betriebsanleitung (Owner's Manual) is in good used condition. They are very rare to come by, especially in German. If you aren't sure how rare these items are, just ask someone who knows... On Jul-06-12 at 21:02:08 PDT, seller added the following information: 1968 was a unique year for Porsche 912's -- they differed from 65-67's and also 69's in that they came with rubber floor mats. Although not pictured, the rubber mats are included with the auction. On Jul-10-12 at 17:56:58 PDT, seller added the following information: A large number of 912 books and memorabilia are included with this auction, which include but aren't limited to the following: 1) The Maestro's Little Spec Book (and Emergency Breakdown Procedures), which is 120 pages, bound, by Harry Pellow, front cover in color with photograph of 912 engine 2) Original 1968 Porsche Dealer's Brochure in full color, excellent condition, folds to glove box-fitting size, unfolds to 18" x 18", showing all models for 1968, including the 912.
