Up for auction is our 1958 Dodge Coronet 2 door hardtop. We've had this car for several years, it's originally a CALIFORNIA CAR with a very solid body! Car has been in Wisconsin 4- 5 years and always been stored inside. Good stuff first, its a good running and driving 325 v8 2bb. The transmission shifts out good. The brake and fuel lines have been replaced. The exhust is in good shape. The tires are wide whites with low miles on them with new aftermarket hubcaps in great shape. All the glass is good, the roof is good. The chrome is all pretty darn good with just a little pitting in some areas. Both front and back bumpers [couple of small dings] are nice [good driver quality] along with the grill, hood ornaments, and mirrors. Both rockers are excellent, along with a very good frame. The bottom of the doors are excellent, no rust, the paint is still there. Both door jam areas are very good. Little to min rust on the bottom rear quarters. There is a dent on the drivers front fender top [no accident, something fell on it] and a small crease on the drivers rear quarter [easy fix]. Front and back floors are excellent, the trunk floor has 5-6 small rust holes. The trunk lip that seals the trunk has got some rust that needs repair. The car had the 2 rear antennas that were taken off years ago and the holes were filled. One was drilled out again and now covered in black tape [easy fix]. The top chrome on the fenders do have a little pitting nothing bad. Couple of dings. The parking light housings are good, one lens is broken, the other has some crazing going on. The taillight housings have some light pitting, the taillight lens are bleached, crazed, cracked, they all need to be replaced. Some small pitts on both door handles. the door panels are ok, the driver's side is missing the arm rest. The original front seat is missing [missing when we bought the car] we put in a pair of buckets out of a Plymouth either 1964 1965 or 1966 [not sure]. The rest of the interior is orginal, the am radio is on the floor not installed [not sure if it works or not] The heater control is also not hooked up. The headliner is starting to come out of the holders that go across the car. They are not beat up just sagging. The windows go up and down. The dash needs a good cleaning/polishing up. There is a NOS power steering horn ring on the very nice steering wheel. All in all this is a pretty nice original car it appears to only have had 1 paint job many many years ago. It has Minimal Rust, nice an straight great body style. Right now there are a few of these for sale on Ebay for big $$, if your looking to do an easy restoration or drive as is for must less $$ this is the car for you. Can help with loading for pickup.
