Hello! It is my pleasure to list this 1978 Mercedes 450SEL 6.9 Sedan.  Before I continue, I highly recommend checking out the wikipedia article on the car for a great deal of interesting facts and specs regarding the vehicle and its pedigree [ebay does not allow me to post a link...any search engine will quickly bring it up].  Definitely one of the most famous sedans ever produced by the legendary German marque!  This particular example is a low-mileage vehicle that leaves no question about the accuracy of the odometer.  The exterior had a full paint job in its present color about 15 years ago, and remains in very good condition because it was exclusively stored indoors and frequently waxed and washed.  In recent years the car has been driven seldom, as the owner relocated to Northern California while the car remained here at a second residence. The car is a joy to drive in every facet.  The steering, the torque, the smoothness of the suspension -all work in tandem to deliver the package that is the 6.9.  It is especially neat that the 6.9 distinction is merely a subtle badge on the trunk lid.  This is a big contrast to the newer AMG cars of today...I digress...back to the car.  It starts quickly and with no hesitation, and will be fitted with a new Bosch battery prior to sale for years of reliability and reassurance.  The car has 6.9-specific tires, Michelins, which are impossible and/or very very expensive to procure.  The aluminum wheels are made by high-end Italian bicycle manufacturer, Campagnolo, who made the same wheels for racing and production Ferraris in the mid to late 70s.  The interior is in pristine, and is in original unrestored condition, save for a very well done upholstery job on the side piece of the front seat (which is typically the seat that wears fastest).  Other noteworthy additions are an anodized air filter housing and radiator, which may serve to better regulate air flow while also looking pretty cool!
