Vehicle Detail
This 1916 Ford touring car was produced on February 29th of 1916 and has been in the private collection of the late Mike Miller of Sheboygan Wisconsin since 1967. This is a 100% complete and unmolested Model T that is a strong runner with solid original sheet metal and excellent original wood framing. It is a strong candidate to drive as-is or an excellent candidate for restoration. The fenders, hood ,hubcaps and seat upholstery are the original issue material. A top and seat seat kit are included with the car for those interested in restoration. Period accessories include a Corbin Brown speedometer, belt driven water pump and KW shock absorbers. The lights have been upgraded to the 1915 brass trimmed examples. The engine starts easily and runs smoothly on battery. The magneto is not currently functioning and will need recharging. The car is located in Sheyboygan Wisconsin and here are the notes provided by the current caretaker regarding the condition of this nearly century old automobile: engine serial number 1177751 WI title is clear . This car was owned by Mike Miller from 1967 until now. It has not been molested in any way. After sitting all winter, I dumped gas in and it started on battery after a few pulls. Transmission works smoothly in forward, reverse and brake. The speedometer is in working order. Front end was completely rebuilt and the shocks are in working order. The magneto does NOT work, battery only. Included in sale is a Mac's interior kit and new touring top. Bows are included as presented. Brass rimmed running lights are in very good condition. The body is very solid and straight, featuring original sheet metal and radiator. 2 new tires on front. 10% deposit due upon completion of auction. Full payment required within 30 days and before car will be released. This is a rare chance to own a piece of drivable American history. 1915-16 Model T Fords are well known for their reliable operation and fun drivability. Parts are readily available from a variety of suppliers and club support is available all over the world. Very modest reserve. Bid with confidence. Mike loved this car, you will too.
