Lauderdale International (FLL) and Miami International Airport (MIA) for those who wish to fly in and drive home. Also, courtesy car transport coordination is available to anywhere in the world through a preferred discounted shipping agent. Email thru eBay me for transport quote instructions...you'd be surprised how inexpensive it is to move a car across the country or world when you use the right channels who are working on repeat businessIf you contact me before the auction end about transport, I may offer to contribute to your transport costs as just a sign of good faith and well wishes...I want the car to go to someone who will appreciate it even if it's going far away.We will contribute $50 toward an official Certificate of Authenticity via Porsche Cars of North America, if you choose to order one (CoA's are very nice...they arrive in a presentation folder and have a raised seal). I believe they currently cost about $110, depending on the exchange rate...so your effective cost will be much less after our contribution. They show you original information about the Porsche: Port of Importation, Colors, Engine Number, etc.My father is willing to entertain/receive outright offers for purchase before auction ends if that is more your style vs. bidding -- send me an offer through the eBay messaging system. He does not have a specific Buy-It-Now price in mind, but when I communicate an offer to him which is adequate he may accept it, or he will simply wait for the auction to run its courseVIN: WPOEA0910CS160872YEAR: 1982MODEL: 911SCDATE OF MANUFACTURE: 12/1981I believe it's important for a buyer to get a sense of who the seller of a car is. I am in my late-30s. This is my father's car -- he is in his 70s. You can ask him questions if you'd like. I am a serious fellow and there is nothing being intentionally hidden about this Porsche, as so many people do in ads, descriptions and auctions. You don't get 100% positive feedback over 13 years of registration by hiding things. If there is something you should know about the car of which we are aware, it's available to you in the auction. We have gone out of our way by shooting hundreds and hundreds of photos not just of every imaginable angle, but also in multiple natural and with camera flash lighting conditions, even using multiple cameras, along with doing video -- by doing this you don't have to rely on a seller's "interpretation" of characteristics of the car, but instead you can draw your own conclusions from what you see. My goal is that if you use everything we've provided to you, you get a far more thorough demonstration of the car than if you came to see a car in person. I have also gone out of my way to make sure people are satisfied. I work hard to make sure I get specific positive feedback comments; I don't take it lightly, and it means a lot to me. I look forward to getting to know you if you'd like me to (or if you'd like to buy the Porsche without me getting to know you, that's OK too!)! Use the combination of the photos, videos and text for full disclosure, with more emphasis on the photos and video as the description is clearly not intended to be exhaustive. As eBay says, a single picture is worth a thousand words. eBay strongly recommends the best practice of providing as many photos as possible and letting the photos do the talking, rather than trying to describe in words what can be seen in a photo or trying to recreate in words what already is in provided photos. That said, I still give you my impression of the Porsche. I have been registered on eBay 13 years and have 100% positive feedback. If your impression of a picture/video differs from what I've written or said, then your opinion should govern your opinion. If you have any questions, please message me through the eBay messaging system, which eBay emphatically says is always the preferred method of communication. I will answer promptly. My father has decided to sell his Porsche 911 with which he has been extremely happy. He believes he doesn't use it enough to really enjoy it and one of my family members needs more space in the garage we all share. This particularly beautiful Porsche makes this the pinnacle of vintage Porsche auctions. We wish the new owner of this stunning 30+ year old car unlimited and unending happiness with his or her new acquisition, and we hope it goes to someone who fully appreciates it.AUCTION RULES: Full payment is due within within 7 calendar days of auction ending by either cash in-person to be transacted at a bank during banking hours or bank wire transfer only. (Once you receive a fraudulent cashier's check from a buyer, you'll never accept another one either!) If you insist on using a check, the check may only be drawn from a bank with a South Florida branch and it will be made out to your name where you will then convert it into cash in front of me or my representative before paying. If you don't do this you'll have to wait a minimum of 6 weeks for the check to fully clear and you will incur unavoidable storage charges. If you pay by cash in-person, I will meet you in a local branch to accept the cash and it will be deposited immediately and obviously the bank teller will check each currency note for legitimacy. Pickup is also due within 14 calendar days, and may not occur until funds have cleared. Storage for the first 14 days is 100% FREE. There is a storage charge of $350/week beyond 14 days, and is limited to 2 extra weeks (for a total of 4 weeks of storage). If you want to avoid any of these storage fees but can't pick up the car for an extended period, even for months, I can set you up with a public storage unit under your name, put the car in there and FedEx you the keys, title, etc., as long as you have paid in advance. You must read the entire auction description, follow the rules, and study each picture and video fully. I do not offer any kind of a warranty on anything that I sell, ever, as a matter of personal philosophy -- this Porsche is As Is with no warranty. You get the Porsche as pictured, captured in the video, and described, a clean a clear title, anything mounted on the car as pictured (such as license plates) or inside the car (such as jack, seats, records, documentation, etc.), books, as mentioned or seen in pictures, and several keys. no reserve -- no reserve -- no reserve Immediately below are a couple clickable thumbnails of books and original Porsche dealer brochure. I don't have a picture of the records documentation binders yet. I will add a picture or video of that in an update after the auction starts. The following slideshow automatically displays the first 100 of the hundreds of available pictures in the album. To view the remainder of them, and to be able to zoom in, etc., on the bottom right of the slideshow window right-click your mouse near where it says "View all" and then select "Open in new window" or "Open in new tab." That will keep this auction page open while you are viewing the pictures in a separate web browser window or tab. (The pictures taken outside (the ones in the driveway) were taken when it was lightly raining outside): On Feb-03-12 at 13:47:39 PST, seller added the following information: The following important 5-minute video is a great demonstration of the car. It shows you a 360-degree walk around the car, door/window operation, front trunk (bonnet), engine cover and a cold start with tail pipe and engine close-up (the Porsche hadn't been started in 2 weeks and the battery had stayed connected that entire time)...the sound of the engine even while warming up is just fantastic: On Feb-03-12 at 17:55:28 PST, seller added the following information: Below is an inside car road demonstration video, wherein I shift through the gears, do turns and city and highway driving while narrating. There are couple of short video clips within this video below that my father shot simultaneously while following me in his other car which make the video a bit more interesting. Before getting to the video, I wanted to take this opportunity to briefly highlight several upgrades and replacements indicated in the documentation binders and mention there is also the original Blaupunkt radio manual book included which I hadn't mentioned until now. Upgrades/replacements from 2010 include: new pop-off valve, new oil pressure sender, new rear deck lid struts, 2 new brake calipers, rebuild 2 other brake calipers, new brake fluid, all new brake hoses, new wiper motor, replaced air box, new timing chain, new timing chain tensioners, new upper and lower valve cover gaskets, valve adjustment, new timing guide rails, new oil cooler lines, 6 new fuel injection lines, new intake manifold gasket, new intake boot, new throttle switch, new vacuum lines, new stainless steel ignition wire set ($600), new heater hoses, new CV (constant velocity) boots, new oil thermostat and more. And now for the road demonstration video... On Feb-03-12 at 18:53:50 PST, seller added the following information: The following video demonstrates the maintenance documentation binders which also have the original books, owner's manual, and Porsche car dealer brochure stored in them. At the end of the video, you'll also see the targa top storage slip cover that comes with the car.
