Another nice relic rescued! Fresh out of the barn is this 1967 (a fellow Ebayer has noted that it is actually a 1967.5) Datsun 1600 Roadster, lots of dust to wash off but no chicken poop! Read on... Well in my travels I find some interesting old artifacts and here we have another one to offer up for sale. This 1967 (a fellow Ebayer according to the title has told me this is a rarer 1967.5 model) Datsun 1600 Roadster still has the 1973 title to it and its been off the road since 1978. I was going to clean her up but in the spirit of authenticity and to leave well enough alone I figured it'd be best to just leave her exactly as she was entombed many moons ago for the new owner to wash off. Now you have the perfect restoration candidate for one of the coolest little Japanese roadsters produced. The Datsun was parked inside all those years but it was on a dirt floor. Frame has surface rust but is solid from our pokings. Body you can see will need love as the fenders have started to wing up. Floor boards in places are solid but there are portions were they have rusted thru and you can see the ground. Engine and trans intact, car will start from what I was told but I haven't tried to get it going as I am waiting for a key to be made. Tires hold air but are severely dry rotted. Car appears to be totally original all the way to the radio but I am not sure about the luggage rack. Top is in strangely good shape. Obviously this is not a get in and go car and it will need work.
