Vehicle Detail
1932 Ford 5w Coupe You are bidding on a late 60's to early 70's California built 1932 Ford Show Car. It was in storage for almost 30 years and was taken apart to have it updated to a more modern style Street rod in the late 70's but then was left un touched until it was recently found and pretty much put back together as it was then driven after 30years of dust collecting. This Deuce sits on its Original 32' Rails but the suspension was replaced in 1970 for full front and rear Jag XKE suspension , due to issues with the front suspension it was later replaced with stainless steel Heidts . The rear suspensions has all been chrome plated and looks and rides beautifully. The bearings in the rear have all been replaced but there seems to be a vibration that happens intermediately not sure what it is but it does come and go. It has Mustang Rack and pinion steering and the column was replaced in favor of a tilt GM unit. The Body is a unmolested Henry Ford with orig un-filled Steel Grill , orig Steel Hood /sides , orig cowl lights ,orig headlight buckets, and rust free Original body w/ untouched firewall (un-filled , un-chaneled , un-chopped and working cowl vent !) , the only Fiberglass parts are the Fenders which are old early replacements. There is no rust in the body and is in amazing shape with no signs of any a damage repaired. The Root Beer Brown Metallic Paint is showing the perfect amount of Patina a 40 year old paint job should. All the glass is in perfect un bubbled condition and has a soft mint blueish tint , just like many cars from that era had. There is pin stripping that was done throughout the interior and exterior and most of it is still showing good. The gas tank has a leak on the top of the tank and is shown in the picture. The Interior has early vinyl upholstery which looks like it was done in the late 70's and is in perfect condition. The dash is outfitted with early Stewart Warner gauges like Speedo , Tach , Oil Pressure , Fuel , Water Temp. , Vacuum , and Volt Meter. The upper header above windshield is not on the car but is included. A CD player was also installed recently installed. The Engine is a later rebuilt 350 chevy replacement with a morning knock and has been flooding and at times has trouble starting but can easily be adjusted and we plan to have that done before auctions end. The Transmission is a TH350 that shifts great. Overall this is a great example of a well kept 32' that has sat for many years without seeing the road. It has been made road worthy once again but is also ready for some long overdue attention to be driven! We have listed everything as honestly and accurate as possible . Feel free to contact us with any questions . We can help arrange worldwide shipping. On Dec-22-11 at 18:42:49 PST, seller added the following information: Update for December 22nd I would like to thank all bidders and I wanted to let them know that the car is now near its reserve and that if it does not reach it we will now strongly consider the high bid as the selling price. We have over a 100 questions on this car and some of the reoccurring ones are yes the front window does still pop out and the rear window does roll up and down , the windows do not have tint film on them but are in fact tinted laminate glass dated 1971 and they are in perfect condition with no bubbles and no discoloration. I do have 3 original Steel fenders (2 fronts and 1 rear) that can be made available on a separate auction to the highest bidder if so desired. Thanks again -Dan
