SPECIFICATIONS Year 1969 Make Chevrolet Model Corvair Monza VIN 105379W705901 Mileage 54936 Engine 140 hp Cylinders Flat - 6 Transmission Automatic Title Clear / MO Color Olympic Gold Interior Color Black DESCRIPTION 54936In 1967 the decision was made by GM to discontinue the Corvair. With the Camaro, Impala and Nova sales at a height, the Corvair was slated for obscurity. The Corvair was built at the Willow Run Plant on the same line as the Nova. With the dealer's orders exceeding production on the Novas, the final Corvairs were assembled on their own line by a select group of workers and supervisors who had a liking for the Corvair, and put a lot of pride into the building process. This is one of the final 100 Corvairs assembled! Only 6000 total 1969 Corvairs were built, and even fewer Monza Models such as this one here. It was bought new in Kansas by a woman, and she and her son babied it until June 2011. Showing only 54,936 actual miles, it is a marvelously original car. The exterior has been professionally refinished in the original and correct Olympic Gold with a near perfect Black interior. Equipped with many options like, the highly sought after 140hp four carb motor, Powerglide transmission, remote mirror, accessory wheel covers, AM radio, front and rear bumper guards, front and rear seat belts, and Monza specific Bucket Seats. Condition is absolutely gorgeous in all aspects. The paint has a mirror finish, body and undercarriage are very solid and original, the chrome and trim are beautiful, and all the weather stripping is in tact. It is a pleasure to drive with everything functioning as it should. This car has not been passed from owner to owner in the last 42 years, having been lovingly cared for and cherished by the same family, and its condition reflects that. The car comes with it’s original owners manual and protect-o-plate. A wonderful addition to any collection, you will not be disappointed!
