Vehicle Detail
Up For Auction today is my '95 Jaguar XJS Convertible, reluctantly this one has to go as I just have too many cars. Not to detract from the car but it looks better in the pictures but still is a very nice car that is in need of a little cosmetic TLC so please read on. Mechanically this car is excellent, runs drives and sounds as a Jaguar should. Ready for the road and if I wanted to could jump into it and drive across country tomorrow. They just don't make cars like this anymore and this has one of the fienst engines ever produced. The Inline 6 cylinder just purrs. Silky smooth and rides better than many newer cars. A/C is currently not blowing cold so that is about the only mechanical issue that would need to be addressed. Cosmetically this is where the car is a little challenged. The paint looks good from a distance but suffers from clearcoat peel on flat surfaces (pictured, common Jag problem) so figure on it needing that sometime but again it still turns heads wherever she goes and it is not an immediate issue and it can be done sometime in the future. THere are a couple parking incidents that have scarred the bumper (pictured) and the door has a nice little crease in it (pictured). Interior could use some shampoo and a good scrub but is overall good consiering the car's age. Seats are faded, driver seat is torn but the seat covers mask this and some of the wood trim on the console and doors is a bit cracked and worn. The top still seals and the power top works but someone decided to cut the top one night it was parked in the city so a new top would be needed (or you could just keep the top down all the time!). Windows work though the passenger side switch doesn't always work, window motor/regulator is fine it is just the switch. OEM radio works, it has a 6 disc CD changer but I haven't check that out. In all a good car that just needs someone to give it the love and care it needs. I'm sure I missed something so give me a call at 845-820-2427 if you have any questions or feel free to email me. Test drives are welcomed, so call if you are nearby. Also the car is listed locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early. Thanks for looking!
