Silver 1973 Datsun 240Z Restoration Up for sale is an all original, matching numbers, stock 1973 240Z Car looks beautiful and runs excellent. Car was recently restored except for the undercarriage. Exterior and Interior are in great condition. This is a California car with no rust. Car features: New Paint by Maaco, the original Datsun Monte Carlo Silver (I'd grade it an 8.5 out 10) Newly chrome plated bumpers front and rear. Refinished engine and engine bay with the best running original flat top carbs you'll find. Fully restored and operational smog set-up. Excellent compression on all six cylinders. All cylinders read 165+/- 3 psi. Engine restored to fully original look. New Carpet kit, Braided hoses, clutch, rear view mirror, brakes, and much more. Beautifully restored steering wheel. Interior is in excellent condition with near perfect vinyl and door panels. Original five slot mags and near new Michelins (less than 500 miles on them). This Z runs smooth as silk, starts easy and is a joy to drive. I have used this Z as my daily driver when my other Z was being restored, so it is a great driver. I restored this Z with the goal of keeping the car as close to show room condition as possible, without modification. The car still features the original exhaust system and muffler, fuel line insulation, and of course the flat tops. The car is not perfect and does have a few items that can be tended too: -There are a few minor paint chips (touched-up) and thin spots (hard to see, but I know where they are) Pics available upon request. -A very minor oil drip, will try and remedy that before the sale. -Dents on the underside from previous owners mis-placing the jack location. You can see those in the pictures on the frame rails. Body Repairs: -Minor surface rust on underside has been treated with phosphate and Por-15'd. No 'break through' rust. - Car had two quarter sized rust areas in rear dogleg.
