About Me Other Auctions Feedback Add to Favorites Contact Me eBay Store Antique 1970 Suzuki TS90 Honcho MotorcycleGreat Shape, Runs Well! This is a great bike for a beginner, or experienced rider for just cruising around the farm or exploring the woods. Or maybe you are collector and with it's 41+ years, relish its antique value. Sized like a "real" bike the TS-90 has much more appeal and capability than the typical "mini-bike" from its era. Even at only 90cc the performance is surprisingly peppy and solid. The 5-speed transmission (1 down, 4 up) can provide exciting low end torque or speeds in excess of 60mph. As a two-stroke this bike has an oil-injection mechanism with a separate oil-tank - there is no mixing of oil. This was a very advanced feature in 1970 and was called "Posi-Force" lubrication by Suzuki. History: I am the original and only owner and have had this bike since I was 15 years old. It has not seen too much use of late but I still take it out every now and then for a run around the neighborhood and local trails. I keep it stored in my garage under a cover. The low 4350 miles are predominately gentle off road miles in a rural area of RI and MA. It has been serviced as needed and generally well cared for. We are now getting ready to move and unfortunately will not be able to keep it. There is no title as they apparently were not required for this category of vehicle in 1970 (at least in RI) - a bill of sale will be provided. Features: Good running bike in excellent condition for its ageEverything works - good brakes, gears, lighting, etc. Good torque and peppy. Includes original Suzuki owners manual and "You & Your Suzuki" pamphlet in original undamaged vinyl snap pouch.Includes original tool kit with Suzuki branded wrenches and undamaged vinyl pouch. There is even a spark plug gap feeler gauge. Also included are some miscellaneous parts like a spare (used) spark plug and a master link for the chain. Condition: Even though I always took great care of this as I do all my toys, it is still amazing to me after 41 years just what good shape this bike is in. Besides good care, this might have something to do with Suzuki build quality from that era, I don't know. Don't get me wrong it isn't perfect, but for a 41 year old it is doing just fine - I wish my automobiles would last half this long! For a video rundown of the overall condition Click Here. For a video of us starting and running it Click Here. The videos should give you a good idea of condition, so here I am going to primarily focus on what might be wrong or worn - if I don't mention it assume it is good and working. Engine starts easily and runs well. The electrical system is 100%. There are two (maybe three) magnetos and one drives the headlamp - all are working fine, but note that the engine must be running for the headlight to operate. The battery is only about two years old but it has gone flat on me once or twice so I don't know if it is still 100% - it seems to be OK at the moment. The two rear-view side mirrors are missing. The horn is weak, but does try to sound off. There are no turn signals - these were an option in 1970 and not required by law. The wiring and switch are there so they could probably be added. There is no rust or flaking metal, all is solid. There is some surface rust however in the chrome plating, mostly on the fenders. A lot of this may come out as can be seen in the front fender and rim which I polished recently. I did not polish the rear fender or rim so that is where it is the "worst".Three or four spokes on the front rim have some surface rust. The seat is perfect including the "SUZUKI" name on the back. The rear taillight lens has a scrape. The carburetor cover has been repaired, I think with epoxy. The carburetor is probably due for good tune up or adjustment. Sometimes you need to fiddle with the choke to get proper idle and mixture control. The footpegs are still intact but are a little worn. The rubber padding on the kickstart lever is very worn. The rubber padding for the shifter is gone. The rubber flat bungee like straps that hold the battery and tool kit in place are cracked and torn. The gas tank has some paint chips and one or two spots where the paint is wearing thin.Near the handlebar neck, there are some wires in this area that need to be re-taped and could use some sort of abrasion resistant covering. The bulb at the end of the front brake lever is broken off.The rear foot brake lever has some surface rust and may have a little bend to it.Everything else is in good shape and it runs well! I'm going to miss it! Specifications: Well-known for its off-road bikes, street bikes and racing bikes, Suzuki began manufacturing motorcycles in 1952 and is a member of the "Big Four" from Japan. This particular model, the TS90, was introduced in 1970 and ceased production in 1976.
